Just stumbled across your content and loving the videos. This may be a really dumb question, but assuming: 1 - you have a consistent anchor point 2 - you are aiming consistently with the the tip of the arrow What is it that you change and "do" in order to change that string alignment? Regardless of if you are able to answer or see this, really helpful videos, thanks from the UK!

2:30 that’s what I did today at the indoor shoot, it worked perfectly and I got more consistent shots. Most of the misses were only due to things like elevation, too high/low, or I had the wrong point of aim, or dragged on release etc. I’m using a longbow without a shelf and a Korean bow too. I can’t remember if the string picture is in the middle for the latter one, but I’ll find out

Presumably, the reason you’re hitting yellow with the string lining up with the inside of the riser, could be that its closer to lining up with the arrow rest. Therefore everything is lined up centrally. My coaching sessions are getting me one step forward and two steps back. My groupings are getting better, and am hitting more yellows than ever before. But keep having some wayward arrows which spoils my ends. I know l need to work on my consistency. The locking down of of my upper body, and standardisation of grip, finger placement, feet and arm/shoulder positioning. But she watches me shoot, and thinks my drawing elbow is too low and moves after release. Her recommendation is to raise my elbow higher than my right shoulder. This has made a modicum of improvement, but l struggle to to achieve standardisation. Have you anything I can try to improve my consistency? Absolutely loving your videos, they’re helping me no end. Thank you x

I'd have to see your form before I can say! If it's one arrow going outside the group - have you checked to see if it's the same arrow each time? Sometimes it's just the arrow :)

Thanks, just working on this problem. Wife and I both shooting left and we straightened out our bow arm elbow. Then check arrow alinement and that is helping. The question we have is we fix alinement with elbow of bow arm? And good T shape with the rest of our form?

Hey Tara. Whats the difference between a "Galaxy Sage" and a "Samick Sage" bow?

Your form looked great left handed. Do you actually shoot both left and right handed?
@ArcheryHouse Жыл бұрын
I do shoot both! I am right-hand, left-eye dominant. Started right hand and moved to left. Still shoot both, but really like the left!

Can you please do a video for petite people who have short arms and can't reach the tip of the limb to string up the bow? I'm having this issue currently and always need someone else to loop the string as when I bend to string, my hands don't even reach the end of the limbs 😔 Also, videos about possible archery injuries would also be helpful and how to heal. The tendons on my inner upper arm is sore when I stretch my arm out. Feels kinda swollen and lumpy. Not sure if it's caused by all the string slap from my new bow cos I'm still trying to get used it.

When using a bowstringer do you stand with 1 feet on it or 2 feet?? Use two feet and spread the legs will help. ( standing out center will help to ) . Check Jake kaminskie, he has a tip for shorter people (spread the legs) --> kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWXWoqV7lsugpdE

The for your video. But how about the slant the bow? Does it effect the result?
@ArcheryHouse Жыл бұрын
In my opinion, I do feel it affects the shot. When I watch my beginners cant their bow - arrows tend to usually go on the side the bow is canting.
@Varnavyavastha Жыл бұрын
I used to align it with the mid of the riser everytime thinking that is the natural alignment of the string.

@eugene1885 ай бұрын
why does the inside of the riser work better? I would have thought having everything on the straight line with the middle would be better. this is so weird!

I don't look at the string I look at the target aim small miss small.
