And I know it’s always easier said than done, but if you’re able ; Stay hopeful , be present and focus on the moments of joy you can share together. It’s been over two years, and I’m still triggered by this figure 🤣 The horrific QC issues and lack of communication has become legendary in the figure collecting community… … Enough people have been affected to create a “ we got a shitty Tifa” support group. I’m so sorry that you also went through this. The SE US store did not even know about replacement face plates… And I’m pretty sure I would just get the same bad batch if I asked for replacement. Glad to hear you got the superior version, and you might be able to sell the old one off? I actually sold mine, full transparency, with Clearer images of the face. I sold her off for like 60 bucks? Which in retrospect, I feel kind of bad for that high a price… But there are people out there who liked that aesthetic 🤷 someone might even purchase her for the parts, I’ve had a couple people ask me for the older version just for that 👀

@@wyldphinniweeb Possibly. I know I have bought a lot of the 6" Adventure series figures solely for custom fodder to make different characters of Indiana Jones. (Have a Nepal Marion in the works now). But yeah I am a lot happier with this Tifa. Square Enix and PAK have seemingly been pretty hit or miss. The Advent Children Barrett is pretty notorious. I still have my Dirge of Cerberus Vincent and it looks great. Aerith's face sculpt wasn't bad. I do have Tidus and Yuna on preorder, as well as the new Yuffie. Here is hoping they aren't plagued by the same issues Tifa was..

Some PAKS from back in the day are especially tragic… I PO’ed a Laura croft from the 2nd game(2015 I think) and her face was horrendous… I would like to think SE has learned about self-preservation… And won’t make the same horrendous mistakes from yesteryears …. @@wyldphinniweeb I had considered a AC Tifa. But I opted for the remake version instead. I'm a bit of a traditionalist and prefer the OG inspired designs. The bring arts figures are nice but for the size being a little over 6"? I can't justify the $130 when a PAK stands 10 inches or so for a bit more. And yeah here's hoping Tidus or Yuna aren't a mess because I won't be laughing like Tidus if they are XD. If you ever are looking to customize smaller 6" figures? Ollies and other discount outlets are a great place to look for custom fodder. That and e-bay for loose figures, accessories/parts.

It's really really nice to be able to discuss and fangirl about it with someone who has the same devotion 😄 I also agree with you about the characters. MXTX creates her characters in a way that everyone is important and their stories touch your heart, despite being side characters or even the supposed "bad guys". Like OMG one minute I feel so angry at one character but the next minute after knowing their back story and how they came to be who they are, it's like... Hard to see them in a totally bad light. It's like... Dayummm life made them that way and do what they do. Ahhhh.
