Will I need to adjust pickup heights or they are fine out of the box

so check it out, I just wired a strat with Brian May's switching/series set up. The shop I did this in, has a used set of SA pickups w/ pots. only 2 pot. but thats all I need. I just needed to see the pickups don't need a bus.

I love the dimebucker! Have installed on my peavy signature series. And the emg active is cool cause the tone changes with how hard you attack the string. Working on a dean ml build going to try fishmans fluence with a kahler tremolo.

The necks on the Ibanez standard RG's and S series are 400mm which in inches is 15.748. You can set it up for a 15" radius but it is closer to 16". I find it feels and plays much better setting the saddles for a 16" radius.

You to develop a more critical thinking mindset and not be so presumptuous. You did not no objective test to prove the pickup is ceramic it was based on assumption. There are Alnico constructed pickups that use a bar magnet and slugs, it’s cheaper and for ease of manufacturing. You didn’t and couldn’t do an analysis on the magnet material.

I have a Baretta Special and it was perfect especially the frets, not sticking out, smooth and polished. I assumed all Kramers would be better since mine is a low budget one. I’m thinking the Baretta Special from Indonesia was just a lucky accident. It also has the best flat U neck I’ve ever played…..ever.

As you increase the gain you lose the subtlety . Listen to them clean and youll hear the differences. Also the differences might have been clearer if he left off all the effects

I did everything the same… my emg doesn’t sound like yours… sound low and week… just out of the box, new battery… what could be? Any idea?

Alumitone are great for leads or fast rhythm picking. They don't hide mistakes, they enhance precise playing. On my custom reb beach ibz and neural fortin Callie amp sim, these pickups roar. Been a lace fan since the early 90s. Great pickups..

Looks great. George Harrison used DayGlo fluorescent poster paints - they light up under a black light on stage, which is pretty cool. :)

Hey bro - I discovered this video and your channel looking for info on working on my own JS22. I’ve had it for a few years now, but only in the past couple years started working on it. Anyway, I (literally today) learned that there’s a screw in the side of the trem arm that you expose when pushing the arm all the way to the guitar. Idk whether it’ll be on yours (you manage to not show that side when holding it!) but it’s worth checking. I was literally using plumbers tape to hold it in at all… It’s the smallest Allen wrench size of all time, but my trem bar holds now!

I love these guitars, because their lower gain pu's I play alot of zepplin and hard blues, do you think this guitar would be good for that also? Really want the neck profile and the guitar is just sexy

All of these are a huge waste of money. You can get GGS pickups and sound the same for a fraction of the cost.

If I own any of the Syn Gates Guitars, I would take off the entire Floyd Rose system and replace it with a hardtail bridge. It might just be me, but I hate Floyd Roses. The last one I had never stayed in tune, the high E string kept popping out of the saddle. I can't be dealing with that
@aarongrimes649012 күн бұрын
Then you haven't taken the time to learn how to properly set one up. I'll never buy a guitar without one.
@TheMarioExpertMan12 күн бұрын
@aarongrimes6490 No, I don't like them period! I had no end of problems with an LTD M350 and that had a Floyd Rose system. Tuning stability was crap, strings kept popping out.

Thank you for sharing this. I may need to go back and look at this model again. I thought I saw a squared off heel and neck joint. Maybe I'm mistaking it for another model I looked at. Glad to see yours is rounded off. First time viewer here. Nice review. Subscribed.

Old school metal guitarist here who plays modern as well, and after all these years, the JB still stands tall and just sounds so full of life. It does the single notes the best and is the most musical. While the EMG's of course are bright and crunchy, they are otherwise lifeless for anything but riffing IMO. The only downside of the JB is how it sounds tuned down. It wasn't made for Drop C and lower, otherwise it still holds the crown IMO.
