It’s not professional to integrate your competitors you can say it in a better way to accomplish the thing you want to accomplish. That would make you look better to everyone.

Agree with previous comments; it can't be an LS1 if it's a 5.3 l.

Did the quarter panels also have dings - that’s a lot of filler. Looks great, thank you!

I own a 2000 Z28 SS Camaro with the all aluminum LS1 5.7 5700 346 cid Camaro.....Pro Comp LS1 1.7 rockers. That's not an LS1 just because you have compatible rockers for LS1 in it. 5.3 maybe an LM4, LM7, L33, L59, all categorized as 5.3 vortecs.
@pgbpro203 күн бұрын
Pretty sure the LS1 was an all aluminum 5.7L engine and the 5.3L was a iron block truck engine. Both Gen III designs though. I think those rockers were from comp cams. I don't know anything about them but it's not like Comp is generally considered shoddy AFAIK.

@@brandonleon795 right on man appreciate the correction. I've never run anything but redone stock rockers. I'm not really sure why you would go with chinesium when that's a great cheap option.

What are you doing with the bare metal spots after your filler work is done I have the same issue right now before high build. Blend in some epoxy? What are you using for high build VP 2050 or 5300 from TAMCO dtm?

Impressive!! You can block out a car without using guide coat! Even the Pros, Astill Design www.youtube.com/@AstillDesign/playlists & Sylvesters Customs www.youtube.com/@SYLVESTERSCUSTOMS who build show cars can't block out a car without guide coat. And you can judge by eye how much hardener to put in your filler, where they have to measure. And.... they take more care mixing it so that they don't chop at it like you do. They claim that's a bad habit....something about air bubbles? Anyways, it was fun watchin' ya'....for a few.

As a qualified body repairer and sprayer, I would spray apply polyester spray filler, instead of applying a final coat of body filler. After spray polyester filler I guide coat with black aerosolize spray. Then sand until all the guide cost is sanded away, then I know the panel if FLAT with no imperfections, simple ?

Huge amounts of bondo! Wow!!! Applying bondo on to 40 grit scratches? Noooo!!!! It'll shrink into them in a few months or even weeks and it'll look horrible!!! Bondo should be applied onto maximum 180 grit scratches, if its metal than 80grit... Primer onto 80grit? Noooo!!!! Also will shrink!!! 240-320 is what you must bring the scratches up to for primer... I know i probably have many years less experience than him but i know for 100% I'm right here...unless he's using some kind of 0 shrink bondo and primer of which most of the world doesn't know of yet

@davroscaan131813 күн бұрын
Would you recommend this process for a factory paint job? My Ram pickup has bad wavy peel in the entire finish. I was thinking about starting with a finer grit sandpaper than 800 (maybe 1500?) because I assume the factory clear is relatively thin. Opinion?

the " cottage chesse " also known as ureathane wave.. only can get cut out with 800 or i start at 600.... guide coat each grit change is the best thing you could suggest to ensure you get all the sand scratches from your last grit.....
@AdamSander-b3b14 күн бұрын
I agree with this method somewhat. Sometimes I just get tired of adding layers and sanding them down only to add more afterwards. That long block is essential here. The thickness of the bondo after it’s all flat is not that important as it’s eventually going to be very thin. It may look like surface creation but it’s actually surface correction. After I dolly the metal as good as it will get I too skim past the low areas a ways to ensure a tapered edge and not a hard line. It’s better to slop it on like this because it saves time and effort and ensures a consistently flat surface.

ya i dont get it why so much body filler? it dont even look like thers any damage lol. thers a rusian on here n he doesnt even use body filler. this dude deals wit so many mashed up cars n straightens them out without any body filler. the dude is magic

So did you just use the CSI for the whole machine buffing and polishing process?
@bobbyelliott191116 күн бұрын
You should add how long it takes for this process per panel just so the general public understands why a custom paint job requires such a fat wallet the amount of time it takes to achieve this level of perfection is mind boggling
