Went on FMF 's website n they have a inset baffle on their site that is supposed to help quiet it a bit but they have no stock and I think the whole world has no stock. seems like they should back their products and keep them in stock. now have to either fabricate one or use my stock pipe. @silentmoto5702 жыл бұрын
@WILD BILL oh heck yeah! How many miles do you go before changing the oil? I've heard a guy that dualsports it and does the oil each 1500km. I'm gonna use it as a dualsport as well and thinking each 1k km

@@silentmoto570 I haven't dual sported it yet, only off road, but I change it after every ride (usually 2-3 hours). That's probably to often if there is such a thing haha.

@@silentmoto570do not wait 1500km for oil changes. I’d recommend like 500 miles/800kms of road use or maybe 6 hours of off road riding. Yes, it’s more expensive but treat the bike right and it’ll keep trooping. Did 12k miles on my 12’ WR450F with no valve adjustments or any major maintenance. Got a 17’ on supermoto trim now and at about 10k miles on it and same story. Little late to reply to you but hope you and others see this. Lovely bikes even for a beginner.

@BenBNC3 жыл бұрын
Wild bill, killer video, you eased some of my anxiety about powering my new aftermarket headlight. The people over at rockymountainatv say the tusk harness will not power a headlight, but I was thinking about doing the same tech you did, by wiring those extra wires from the harness to a H4 socket, and praying it works when I plug it in. You just wired each of those wires to a slot in the socket correct?
@BenBNC3 жыл бұрын
I see you have the blue and white wire from the harness wired to the socket that plugs into your bulb, but the black wire from the tusk harness is tied into a wire from another harness altogether.. What harness is this?

Want to get a WR, can't decide on the 250 or 450...Such a huge difference in power between the two. I don't want a bike that I'm ringing its neck all the time, also don't want a bike trying to jump outfrom under me in the rocks. Has anyone had success changing the mapping of a 450 to make it less responsive in the lower rpm's??

I went to Towne Creek for the 1st time about a month ago, pulled right into loop B lot, you know because it comes first, rode loop B it was incredibly deteriorated in many parts. As a novice there were portions that were intimidating, especially given I was riding alone. I was confused as to where loop A was, but I arrived later than I wanted and so upon leaving I thought "let me just go left, at the exit, to see where it goes", and obviously found the loop A lot...but after seeing this footage I think I quit that kind!! I think I'll go to Whissenhunt next time and try my luck there.

I rode quads through the woods long before I started riding motorcycles, and I started on quads I very quickly fashioned a "spider catcher" out of a frame made out of pvc with holes drilled throughout the four connecting pieces every 1/4 inch and a 'screen' of fishing wire woven together through the holes in a checkerboard fashion. It worked amazingly well, put one on your girls ride and always make her go first, lol, since there is no option for that on a dirtbike.
