This made a HUGE difference, the FMF pipe really puts out that 450 grunt I was hoping for! This is not a paid endorsement, I just wanted to share my experience for anyone else who may be looking at buying the Power Core 4 Hex.

awesome pipe on a awesome bike, i put the pc4 on my 2011 wr450f and man it made a big difference down low, so much better than the standard pipe, but then a month ago i put the powerbomb header on, and man oh man if you havent done it you so should..!!!

Nice video. I have a '14 WR450 but after looking at yours, makes me want to trade upgrade. I did an FMF slip on last year, it really woke up the mid range. I have the matching header to install, just don't have the time. But seriously, if you haven't changed the ECU (not sure what flavor ECU came on your bike) and bought a tuner, do it. It's nice to be able to tune the motor to the riding conditions.

Since this is all about sound, you could have skipped the background snap noise (to make hearing easier) ... and edited a before vs. after comparison - one after the other i.e. side by side.

bought one for my wr250f and it is really loud. more than I wanted . Went on FMF 's website n they have a inset baffle on their site that is supposed to help quiet it a bit but they have no stock and I think the whole world has no stock. seems like they should back their products and keep them in stock. now have to either fabricate one or use my stock pipe. Some fab shop shoud make these and sell them. everybody's looking for them

I’ve got the Q4+spark arrester and mega bomb on my 16 wr450. Its really “quite” but throaty. I wish I had gone with P4 for looks. Q sticks out as far as stock.

How do you like the wr? Im in the market between ktm exc 500 or wr. Do you think it has enough power?

It's certainly not lacking in the power department, I absolutely love it. Honestly, it's way to much power for my skill level. I'm having to learn to ride all over again haha. The torque is insane, and I don't have a competition ECU or a programmer. With those, you can turn the power up even more, but I'm content with the way it is.

How does the sound compare to a YOSHI system?Is pretty loud or quieter?

I've never used the Yoshi system, but I can tell you that this one is definitely loud!

Hey man. Did you have decel pops after you put that in? Just installed a slip on on my 2021 and it’s decel popping pretty good. Pulled the air box kettle out too.

Want to get a WR, can't decide on the 250 or 450...Such a huge difference in power between the two. I don't want a bike that I'm ringing its neck all the time, also don't want a bike trying to jump outfrom under me in the rocks. Has anyone had success changing the mapping of a 450 to make it less responsive in the lower rpm's??

Definitely, I've never programmed mine but I have heard some success stories with other mapping.

I definitely don't recommend grabbing a hot muffler...wait until it cools down to work with it!

@@emptyqrider Thanks for the follow! I only installed the muffler, and not a new header. I didn't notice any difference in temperature, but I also didn't pay much attention. My header gets red hot at idle, and only cools down when I ride and get airflow over it.

Sure... ha Did you order a tuner for it yet? I did my first hare Scramble this last weekend and it was crazy thinking about getting the rekluse auto clutch or maybe a heavier flywheel.

Dakota Million Congrats on riding your first race! I was supposed to ride one on Sunday but things didn't pan out. I've never heard anyone complain about a Recluse clutch. I would love to get one, but with Christmas right around the corner it might be a while. I don't have the tuner yet. I couldn't justify the $400 to turn up the power on a bike that I can barely handle as is. I will get one when I think I need more power, but for now I'm good!

Thanks. Right, I was going to order it to take the grunt out of it and make it more mellow of a power curve. I Totally agree though when i pulled the Screw the Bike totally changed then before the race i pulled the Baffle and I almost wanted to put it back in Ha! And I have been riding 450s for years but this new fuel injection is badass!

I personally can't tell a difference in HP because I never really push it hard, the bike already has enough for me. It definitely sounds different, which made it worth it to me! The sound is amazing.
