I dont believe his emotions were superficial; he is a pacifist, and feels everything very deeply. You can see he is invested in this song and its meaning. He performed this in his country, infront of world religious leaders and got a medal from the pope. He strongly believes in what he sings here, as u will see when you watch the MV. You need to watch more of him and especially the Ultimate Guide to Dimash, by LiLaSi, and some of his interviews to know him better. He does not fake anything, as he said once, Gaze upon the stage.... i do not wear a shield... She said that he’s a really cool and down to earth person. He just sold his old home last year, and my friend said it was a modest home that he bought way back in his Nirvana days.
