Is/was the nerve entrapment causing any numbness and tingling in your feet at times?
@KindaSpoony2 ай бұрын
Yes! It also caused my toes to lose function during dynamic movement, although I didn’t know that when I filmed this 12-months ago! I’m uploading my videos as fast as I can get them up. I will be going much more in-depth in the next few videos and ending with a full length part two to my first documentary! Thank you so much for watching and feel free to ask more questions! -KS

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! Having an EDS knowledgeable doctor is so important. As someone with hEDS who struggled with hand/wrist pain, it took me a very long time to find a hand surgeon who felt comfortable operating on me. Your advocacy is going to help so many people! 🦓🥄☺️

Thank you so much for your support. These first two surgeries were transformational and I’m glad I can share the good news with others 🙂.

Oh nice! If I am in need of hand/arm surgery at some point, having an EDS aware doctor seems so important. Especially because our tissue doesn't behave the same as mosy people's

Dr. Ericson is the GOAT! 😅 While these procedures are definitely specialized, don’t hesitate to approach local hand and other orthopedic fields in your area. The growth in dx rates proves it’s in hand clinics interests to learn the Ericson technique too!

@@KindaSpoony oh definitely. I may have to at some point for my thumb. It's constantly subluxing and I get a lot of hand/ finger pain and pain due to tennis elbow (and not from playing tennis, sadly).

I might have to actually send this to the physiotherapist who didn’t help me
@SobrietyandSolace2 ай бұрын
What I would do to see a doctor like this went to physio complaining of weakness and pain in my forearms in these exact areas and they had absolutely nothing for me. Totally wasted hours of my time each visit refusing to assess or do anythingt

I’m sorry you experienced same dismal and malpractice from Physical Therapists. I’ll never understand how many “professionals” could have been wrong for so long.

Also, you don’t have to give up hope just because life has thrown up barriers to get to Dr. Ericson. In addition to doing surgeries, he spends his “free“ time lecturing to medical students. Keep Hope! I believe The rapid advancements in finding and diagnosing zebras will push the system to find a solution. -KS

Hey thanks for posting your journey. How is everything holding up? Your videos you seemed much looser than I, however I’m well on the way. Any pain or issues? Anything of note or pushing through?
@KindaSpoony2 ай бұрын
Hey thanks for watching! I do still have residual pain throughout my hands and wrists, at +1.5 years postop. However, it’s absolutely minor compared to what I felt before. I honestly can’t believe how much pain I was ignoring 😢 So to me, 100% worth it! I truly feel like I get to live a different life now.

@@KindaSpoony oh wow, sorry to hear you still have some issues but great that overall your health is better. I assume you have some form of thoracic outlet with this condition as well? Either way, thanks for positing these videos and good luck to you in the future.

They gave me bipolar 1 with psychotic features dx as well. It was CPTSD (trauma) and MCAS (adverse reactions to meds). Only recently learned this. With EDS, there's comorbidities ... you may want to look into MCAS my friend. Excellent video 🤌 I have Occupational Therapy for my "bilateral trigger finger" 🙄 this afternoon. Still waiting to see ortho again to share your video with him. Love and light 🙏🌌😘
