Welcome to Day 30 of EDS Awareness Month! Today, I’m sharing what led to my diagnosis of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS). After years of suffering and being dismissed by doctors, a pivotal consultation with Dr. Ericson in 2022 validated my pain and set me on the path to understanding my condition. The culture of “toughing it out” in the Marine Corps and biases in the medical field delayed my diagnosis, but now I advocate for myself and others.
