I think she and her band did a good job, I hate people acting like it is theirs and just perform the song. Video bits and the way they act the parts is good I give an 8, Original version 10.

Yeah the original will always be the best version but as you say they did a great job with this one. Was very well put together. I like the lost boys nod to the head. One of my fave movies and soundtracks

Just getting to know you Ted and love listening to your reactions to John. I grew up with his music and he still curls my 74 year old toes. We are all praying we will get to hear his amazing voice again but if not, we have U-Tube to thank for bringing him back to us. Thank you.

My sister lived in holland for a while and was very tricky pronouncing where she lived lol. 😂😂😂yeah can tell you are a fan 😂😂😂 i like that there is a few people discovered him on this channel and have become fans as we. One thing i want to do is introduce people to new music as well as the music they already know. You came as a fan of erik but hopefully discover lots of other stuff you like as well. I highly recommend my ren videos. He is my fave uk artist. He sings, raps and plays guitar. Is quite poorly so can never tour or go big as he should do but great artist. Hi there sadly if i had of added copy written videos then the tv company would claim the video and the last 2 weeks of writing and research for the script would of all been to benefit the tv executives. Its same for reactions but the money goes to the artist and i dont mind erik getting paid for my my reactions as its his music but makes me sad if tv company get paid for my video of eriks music if that makes sense. I would love to make a doc and add all clips in but sadly it would just get claimed 😔 Thank you for watching its much appreciated

This was a great insight to Erik, I hadn’t heard of him before this channel, that’s the great thing about reaction channels is you get to experience different music and artists. Skid row and bands like that I didn’t really get into but like most styles of music I like a bit of everything and the odd song from someone different will peak my interest. Erik does have a great voice and don’t mind what I’ve heard so far and will check him out whenever he pops up. Of course I have my favorites as far as artists go but I think it’s good to be open to listening to artists you haven’t heard before, even if they are not in the genre you normally listen to. Like lyric Noel, not for everyone but aspects of the music I can appreciate, like her voice was awesome, the band were great, the dearth cry I’m not a big fan of but find it interesting.

Yeah screamo isnt really my thing gmbut the growl fitted the track and was kept to a minimum. Linkin park i used to like and he used to do bit of shouting. I agree with erik he has a great voice and was that grabbed my interest. I like his covers. He picks songs i like or songs i was indifferent about but turned it into something i can enjoy more. And much like yourself id not heard of him before. Was someone recommending him led me to him but glad i did

This is very interesting. Not one of the people who have made it via reality tv impresses me. They are all missing something. It's like they're faking it until they make it. It doesn't seem genuine. Maybe it's a generational thing. But I'm comparing them to Joe Cocker and Tina Turner and Janis Joplin.....and who can compare to them.

Yeah theres a few who had the talent in first place but needed the exposure. He went on to do his own thing after rather than be controlled by tv execs and record companies forcing him into a style. People like liam payne for example forced into a box and controlled. Erik is different in my opinion

The dinner scene was quite horrific but the songs leading into that scene and out of it were great. In fact i might put on in background now lol. Yeah hopefully is time of year. I remember summer in uk last year it did the same thing.was even quieter then coz channel was about 2-3 months old. Tbf my last video is doing quite well, the erik gronwall doc id been working on for a bit. Tonights farnsey video is done a bit different as well so hoping will do ok as well ❤️❤️

Wow, I liked this. Haven’t heard the original, not really into much of the newer music, but like evanescence and this was a bit like them but darker and a bit like a glam metal band from a few years back “black veil brides” with the death cry in it. Don’t know if you know of them but some of their stuff was really good. And yeah that chick looks so hot, and that driving bass was great. Have to look into them.

@@BluntTedTalksMusic yeah when you’re used to listening to John or Jimmy, this is quite a big change in style of music and although it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, even mine, I can appreciate it for what it is and I’ve been exposed to a lot of different types of music and like bits of all styles. I love some heavy rock/metal too, especially the greats like “Black Sabbath, deep purple, rainbow, Dio, AC/DC etc, but my main preference is stuff like 80’s, 90’s rock but I’ll give most things a listen.

Like with knowledge, I think we grow more as we learn, and As we experience different music we learn more about ourselves and our tastes, and open up to the sounds we hadn’t previously experienced and learn to appreciate different styles and tastes in music.

Thanks for the reaction! Loved to see a reaction to an older song with Erik. Yes, very 80's. That's the kind of rock I love. One of my fav band was Bon Jovi. :P I knew Erik from Swedish Idol but sadly I never knew what he did after and I never knew about Heat. Being a fellow Swede that's a shame. But at least I know them now. Great band. And it's great to know Erik and Jona are still going strong with their collaborations.

In this performance John adds extra meaning to the words of this song, 'Playing To Win'. This concert was for the Australian Army in a peace-keeping role in Timor Leste (East Timor), supporting the Timorese people in their fight for independence against the brutal Indonesian army. The Aussies demonstrated love and care to the Timore Leste people, especially the children, and many of those Timorese are in the audience and their leaders are on the dais with the Aussie leaders way at the back. Over his career John Farnham also generously did concerts for charities.

I had that thought while it was playing that it had lot of meaning to this one being played their. Very motivating. Before learning of john farnham and the tour of duty concert i knew nothing of the situation there but have since read about the great job they did for the people there. Is great to see john and others go over to show support and keep moral going. Everybody was having a great time

This was different from Erik, definitely 80’s vibe, sort of like def leopard, Europe style which was great. Great era for rock late 70’s into early 90’s and this fit well, enjoyed it.

And the songs had everything to suit your tastes, rock, hard rock, power ballads, slower acoustic, and real music with real instruments.

Ohhh, yes, for sure this got the 80s vibes to it! 🔥🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥☺️ I call the band heat, like in very,very warm. The band was formed in 2007. It has been toured worldwide. In 2010 Erik Grönwall became the lead singer and this song in the video is from 2012. It got over 3 millions views. The 80s heavy metal is very melodious! And it is a joy to watch and listen to Erik Grönwall from his younger years! ❤️ Also Jona Tee on keyboards.❤ The guitar solo is great! 🎸🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Erik won Swedish Idol in 2009 and joined, as above said, H.E.A.T. He was there singer for 10 years and then he got leukemia. After he recovered, he became the singer in Skidrow. Nowadays he and Jona Tee make covers together. Erik is also writing his own music for an album. ( I am a huge fan of Erik’s and also of Jona’s!) Prince Charming? Like in the Disney movie? Like in Adam and the Ants? One of my favorite songs from John and that mic stand toss went half way to the moon and he had to move a bit to catch it but he did it of course. Love it. I left a comment and suggestion on the short of this. I’d love to know how many mic stands he bent or broke.

I love John’s mic and mic stand tricks, they’re amazing, what a performer and showman. In one of the older concerts I think in late 80’s when John had a corded mic and was singing “one” about half way through he did a martial arts type move where he twirled the mic around from the cord in a figure 8 type pattern like it was some nun chucks and then caught it just in time to start singing again. One of my favorite tricks from John, if you find it that would make a good short?

Wow i have to see that one. Gives me an idea for a video as well if i can round up all his tricks clips. Is probably loads out there so may need to google. As you say it would make a good short as well..I love how into the moment he gets when he is performing and the crowd love to see it as well. Would pay good money to go back and be at one of his shows

@ absolutely you could do a video of all his tricks and yeas to go back to that era, when Music really lived, it breathed, it had soul and purpose, it was amazing. The “one” clip was in 87 and I think his whispering jack concert where he wore the white pants and black tank top and white coat at the start of the concert. Even the playing to win version with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra he did some tricks and had a young girl run out onto the stage and John gave her a kiss. There’s so many little tricks and cool clips of things John did that you just watch and think, that was so smooth and cool.

@ and also does a big mic stand throw and catch in “you’re the voice” with Melbourne symphony orchestra concert. You first see the throw in a shot from behind the drummer(not a great view but you can’t see the throw) and then camera switches to the front for the catch and then launch it again and then later on picks it up with his foot. There’s so many of them.

Oh yeah i forgot i was falling asleep that day i should of waited til following day really but did really enjoy this one. Very energising. I hate watching myself back sometimes as i turned into a dad dancer 😂 still tho lots of fun iv played the other versions few times and is one of faves from john and loved this version his tricks were brilliant to see im so happy he caught it tho lol. Haha yeah i remember that one i saw that video the other day, the original not my reaction and always impressed. Well iv bought headphones today so can get lost in the music a bit more in the reactions which will make me less rigid again. Laptop speakers dont have the right energy to them. Video out tonight from an old recommendation iv tested them on. A group called lyric noel and was lot of fun with good quality headphones. Cant wait to get on with the farnsey reactions with them. Decided i may have to start making all videos doubles and triples to get through the list lot faster. That or twice a day uploads if possible. Hope u have a great day ahead. I dont think i do. It may of been early on when i didnt write them down and thought could do from memory. Think most got done but probs a few that slipped through. The way i write my notes as well is pretty chaotic. I understand it but would look mad to anybody else haha. Hope it stays cool for you or as cool as possible. Do you have air conditioning ? @ there is many theories but he was promoting the thing they don’t want so is very very possible. Mark chapman was possibly more than a crazy fan on a mission. Showed many signs of being brainwashed. The powers live by divide and conquer. People like john lennon and bob marley promoted the opposite and were actively bringing people together. Possibly that bit could also just be youtube. I think it sends notifications out to only a percentage of people that have clicked the bell rather than all subscribers. Not sure why it does that. Is pretty annoying tho. Is so hard these day to get videos into the algorythym. Iv loved everything iv seen from this concert so far it looks like a party atmosphere there.
