The most famous two stories of sleepwalking murder I can think of both relate to perpetrators under immense pressure. The 1st one was in England (I think) and it was a really good, and super overworked, detective who was sleepwalking. I think he actually turned himself in when there wasn't any suspicion on him. The second was of a boyfriend who had lost his job or something? He killed his girlfriends parents sleepwalking, which they figured out because he had managed to injure himself in a way that would likely be impossible if he were awake. Also, just using my legal knowledge--killing someone while sleepwalking wouldn't be murder because you have to have the mental intent (mens rea) in conjunction with the action (actually reus) for it to be murder.
