I would agree the ZR1 in 2010 was fast but it still didn't beat the GT-R in 0-60, other performance metrics and most importantly the Nurburgring Lap time. Also being Nissan a foreign country they didn't look at American cars at all, they went after Porsche specifically. As they are another global car market company. As American cars are not typically seen as globally sold cars at the time.

@@Mikey6048 actually in 2010 both cars had a 0-60 of 3.5, now admittedly the gtr did get lower 0-60 times than the corvette in later years, after 2012 I believe, for a few years before corvette caught back up. However even those years the corvette beats gtr in most other categories braking, skid pad, top speed, exc. Everything except the track time, and 0-60 as you mentioned. I feel that 1.7 seconds on a minute and a half track time and a fraction of a second on the 0-60 are very small prices to pay for a clutch pedal, and the fun factor that you get from rear wheel drive, especially when it's controlled via a clutch pedal. Also the most decisive way gtr left corvette in the dust was on price tags, infact by 2015 they had even surpassed the gt3s in this respect

But it's low-drag, lower than any supercar's drag coefficient. Even the Speedtail (hypercar) has a slightly higher drag coefficient (0.278 cD).
