I haven't driven past there in years, but the last time I did it was in a pretty sorry state.

@moistfinger2 жыл бұрын
Are you offended by it ? If so you should be fine 🤣🤣 . The UK is a crazy place right now.
@sadies28202 жыл бұрын
@@moistfinger yes I guess I do feel offended by it. I feel it is in a totally inappropriate place. Fine if it was outside a medical school or something like that. I worked as a theatre nurse all my life and maybe had enough of seeing people's innards but if I went to Ilfracombe for a pleasant seaside holiday I would not want to see this looming over the harbour. I can't imagine what children would make of it.I don't have a problem with your post and it's excellent footage of the sculpture. My sister and I had been disagreeing about it and I came to your post to get a good look at it. Not sure I could get it in the harbour by myself though 🤣

I fought pirates on this ship with my Grandad in the early 70's before and after it was (done up). Had my picture taken with a monkey and a parrot on my shoulder and sailed the 7 seas. My Grandad got sunstroke and asleep in our tent (Family sized) a moth landed on him and he thought it was a Seagull. HAPPY DAYS.

at least it's printing, 3 mounths now i've been trying to get mine to print! every time it comes to swapping filament, jam, jam, jam! so far this idea was a total waste of money! and to answer why you keep seeing the same prints is because there's not many models that are design for the mmu at the this was release!
@stevesloan67755 жыл бұрын
I've watch all the different types of multi colour printers that all have purge blocks. I'd like to see a side print that's made instead of the purge block. You know one that needs a base white coat dip say!

Prusa slic3r now supports using 3D model as a purge block, and also purging into infill

Where'd you get the bread bin spool holder? :)
@CJICantLie5 жыл бұрын
Within a couple slicers(Slic3r for instance) you can use other objects as your purge blocks, good for printing functional parts, or parts that will be painted anyway, and you don't care what color they are, and anything more that needs to purge will be done on a much smaller tower.

Waste can probably be reduced with some clever software and hardware tweaks, printing with the residual plastic after a change for a bit longer, using waste plastic on supports and infill, maybe designing nozzles so that little cleaning is necessary etc. Unfortunately even with these huge blocks of pure pla, recycling doesnt make much financial sense.

HEY BROZ - CAN I ACTUALLY STICK AND MK2 IN TO A LATEST BIGGEST PRUSA PRINTERS LIKA i3 300x300x420mm ???
@Andreas-gh6is6 жыл бұрын
That model is about the worst case imaginable for the MMU. The ideal use cases are z-separated colors (like an automatic filament change) and/or multiple objects at once. Also, support material with just the interfaces being a different material would waste relatively little.

Hi, my company has 2 3D printers, one is this type but for single filament, one is SLA type. And we are looking for the multicolour printer at the moment. can i please know what's the brand and specific type of your 3D printer? We would like to ship to Taiwan. Can we choice the colour on STL editing softwares (such as KisSlicer or Slic3r). we are very new about multicolour printers there is just few retailer selling in Taiwan so we would want to know if the operation is very different from the tranditional single filament printer? Thanks!

the print turned out awesome, the waste block was awesomely horrible! Holy fuck. Time to get a shredder and DIY filament extruder, chop up the waste and re-extruded it for spools and spools of tie-dye filament.

You can also print multiple copies of the print with the same waste (since it changes color the same number of times no matter how many copies you make). Also, you could potentially print several things at the same time. Waste is based on # of color changes per layer and height of top layer
