What about Hong Kong manhua, like Oriental Heroes aka Dragon Tiger Gate aka Lùhng Fú Mùhn? They only published the series in English back in the late 80s to early 90s. Only about 55 issues in the US, but there are over a 1000 in Hong Kong. The stories may not translate well but the dynamic martial arts action was amazing. I'd love to read the rest of the series, but ... they're super rare and only in Hong Kong as far as I know.

Before I see your review, I was totally clueless of why this man Inio Asano is getting away showing explicit porn between kids, but something that you say make me change my mind, the porn in this manga is not regular pointless hentai showed for... "entertainment", it just really awkard and raw, and for a reason, these two kids were lying to themselves havin sex without the emotional intimacy they really craved and that can be seen in the drawings. Also, about that particular fetish you mentioned, in one scene the boy said to the girl "I will drink your p*ss, I will eat your sh*t", just after he asked for one more time if it isn't a chance that she likes him back. So, that really shows how f*cked up is that boy and the relationship. However, I'm happy to see that someone was a little concern about the sex scenes, to be honest, I am a bit concern about this Inio Asano, Oyasumi Pun Pun as well contain some questionable scenes.

as someone who's collecting the singles for Death Note, I can confidently say that the Death Note singles have amazing spines.

The first scene of the first episode of season 2 of the Made in Abyss anime features (MAJOR TW) a child being “essayed.” Graphically. I would take just as much caution with the anime as you would the manga.

I just finished reading and I was pleasantly surprised. Knowing Toriyama I expected a very simple, episodic, comedic adventure. But I was very surprised when the manga felt more like a movie. Around the half way point when they started talking about the bombing i when it really got good. It was very surprising to see how much emotion was put into this small cast of characters in such a short run-time. Of course I loved the art and paneling composition as usual from Toriyama. This was a great read

So many stories in literature have sex in them, but what differentiates a story with sex from just porn. In my opinion the difference lies in the structure. Porn is a narrative where the point of the story is to get two people to have sex and then glorify that experience. It is the literal climax and end point of the narrative. There is nothing inside or outside the story apart from getting these two people to go to bed together. Any other piece of literature uses sex, not as a destination of the story, but as a literary device apart from the climax. In the Girl on the Shore I see the use of sex in the characters as a lie that they are telling themselves, the bandaid solution to the character's want, sex... in a way... is the main obstacle of this story. Because both characters are looking for love, sympathy, and intimacy but resort to sex and rejecting all other forms of it becausesex is easy once you find someone that consents to it, emotional awareness is hard even if the other person is complicit. Instead of listening to each other's issues, the main character's struggles of her being sexually taken advantage of and the second main character's grief towards his brother, they both decided to take the weight off their shoulders through sex instead of being emotionally present for the other. The final sex scene in the story wasn't a climactic event but instead a regression back into their old habits of emotionally processing their pain through sex, in Campbell's hero's journey it is the beginning of the hero's fall from grace. The true climax of the story was the girl's confession at the end, her realisation that she does want to emotionally connect with him beyond just sex. So in a way it doesn't glorify sex but talks about how there's more to love than sex and with that kind of message I fail to see this story as anything close to porn.

Pluto is an adult detective story with SciFi origens. The shift from Adam to Gesicht as a focus is a genius move and makes the story relateable. The torment of the character Sahad/Abullah/Bora makes the villian relatable and vunerable. Observing Atom swtich from Good Boy to emotional child to powerhouse hero delivers on 'what is it to be real?' without leaning on the Pinnocio story.

know the video is old but some points needs to be made, 1-this is a char/emotional driven story not plot driven. 2- depict sex is not the same as sexualizing, 3-there's storytelling in the sex scenes 4-i can totally understand how if the chars are older more people would be less uncomfortable and honesly me too (sometimes i have to wonder wtf i am looking at) but this story is no way selling hentai or fanservice and i want that to be pretty clear.
