Can the Wrought copper fittings made by Nibco for Air Conditioning, Potable Water, Refrigeration be used in HVAC which are sold in big box stores like Home Depot? or would I have to buy the ACR copper fittings that are mainly only sold at a HVAC supply house?

Seeing 100% oil in the manifold and sight glass looks so weird. Iv only been in the industry for 6 months and on resi and light commercial, 10 compressors is so crazy

quick queston. i have a small 3 compressor rack, semi hermetic copelands. one compressor is slugging with oil. even if i isolate the oil line. assuming the oil be coming in through the suction line? the oil reservoir is showing empty. could it have anything to do with the oil Seperator? its got me baffled. all compressors are fitted with electronic oil level control ( Traxoils)

I've been in HVAC for over 12 years now but I've only been working with rack Refrigeration for about 6 months. So I am by no means I know it all but what I was dealing with a couple weeks ago was these retrofit caps. And the problem that I had with them was was that the guy who originally installed them or somebody who came along later when and slathered them up good and proper with pipe dope and wrench them on like a gorilla. Now I'm almost certain when that guy was finished his job he had stopped the leaks. But unknowingly what he did was made the valve inoperable for anybody else. All that pipe eventually hardened up and when anybody would turn the valve it would basically turn to granules and eat away at those white gaskets. After a couple turns on them valves they all leaked again. I ended up finding over 30 leaky valves with retrofit caps and some of them were leaking so bad that it packed the stratus to 9999ppm. And changing them caps out was a bear because I had to hit each valve with a brass wire wheel to clear off all the old crusty pipe dope in order for my new retrofit cap to seat properly. I went back with nylog and some of them I used food grade silicone grease on the larger retrofit caps. That way when you turn the valve it's all greased up in there it's not going to chew up the gasket. That's my experience everybody's going to get a different results! I work retail but they have a broken one of these God-forsaken things running our buildings temps. Is there way to just manually input temperature? Ours was running the temps in the 50’s, but after the hurricane it’s running on “winter” setting and cooking all of our workers in the back

I’m am currently in a schooling program for commercial HVAC and all of these concepts are new to me. I still have yet to fully delve into the refrigeration side of things but I want to try and learn some things on my own. I tried to understand what was happening in the video but unfortunately I still am very new so I went over my head. I’m just wondering if maybe I am choosing the wrong career or if I just need more time. I have 2 and a half months of virtual and on site training to learn about the rack system and I just am uncertain I’ll grasp the concepts in time.

Do you have experience with glycol systems, there's this store that leaks 12 lbs every 4 days and they don't allow us to use dye, as it "stains" their floor. I've just been licking questionable liquids from drain pans 😵‍💫 for a sweet taste
