I tried using a VPN with a Tokyo endpoint to log into Disney+ but I couldn't even get DIsney+ to load into Firefox while I had my IP endpoint set to Tokyo.

i really like macross delta when it came out, and because of that, i think the movies did them dirty. Especially the fact that they completely erased mirage's romance part and making an actual child came out of freyja, but still not making hayate and mirage a thing

The Origin is literally what a remake is. Just because each episode isn't told exactly the same way doesn't disqualify the Origin from being a remake. How the low IQ Oldtype with Moviemaker over here didn't understand that before making a whole video and thinking there was a conversation here is wild.

Turn A is a great anime. Definitely a different take on Gundam and a cautionary tale of where the people of the UC seem to be going. I don't think it is flawless. The show has some issues that may annoy some viewers. The Moon people really don't come off as much of a threat for the majority of the series. And there are some ideas that go nowhere like the Loran/Laura thing which I bet was reduced because of corporate censorship. I love the idea that it is the far future of the Universal Century, but I completely reject the idea that it is supposed to be the future of all the timelines combined. It really doesn't make any logical sense considering how different the various timelines are. I do wish Bandai/Sunrise would do more with the Turn A timeline. There is a story thread they can build on. During the Dark History reveal scene, there is a blink-and-you-miss-it mention that some space colonies were converted into generation ships and departed into deep space. A series set on one of those generation ships could be very interesting.

My first gundam was iron blooded orphans season 1 on adult swim and I loved it. Than they promoted gundam unicorn and I was interested since I thought it was gonna be another battle with bad ass robots. I didn't like the name but I found the dub movies online and watched it. From that moment on I discovered a story that teenage me loved. I stood up watching it and even tried to finish it at school but once I did I loved it. I can proudly say this is my favorite gundam series and my favorite gundam design. I even went and watched all of the universal century till unicorn. Than when narrative movie came out I saw it and cried remembering the best parts of unicorn and how the movie was great sequel to it. The time travel and the scene of them blocking the laser made me cry out of happiness. It truly showed me that even when faced with the grim truth, will power can still give birth to a bright and hopefully future to those who try and change

I do think that perhaps it could be Lady M for Misa Hayase or even Minmay.. but it could also be a unifying acronym for their partnership.. Seeing how Misa’s strategic and military intellect combined together with Minmay’s knowledge of how songs can enhance fighting prowess, can be a very formidable force… and I feel Megaroad-01 existence in the time-fold leads to so many possibilities like in the movie Interstellar… where time is no longer a factor.. perhaps that is why Bandai released a Hi-Metal R toy of Roy Fokker’s VF-4G Lightning III… even though he has supposedly already passed away… it could be Megaroad-01 has crossed space and dimensions to an alternate universe where Roy Fokker had never died and continues to be a wonderful ace pilot.. I love Macross right from the very beginning… Macross Forever ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼

No guitar playing mecha pilots and band (Macross 7). No little girls singing and dancing around a mecha in flight and battle (Macross Delta). A nod to the original Macross and some fan service, great music playing an important role on STAGE and BROADCASt and not inside mecha, and those mecha were awesome. Macross Frontier is everything I wanted in a Macross series.

i loved macross 2, the whole war journalist angle blew my child mind. it was my first example media-controlled messaging. silvie gena was a badass, loved the hot-headed pilot ace being gender flipped. the emulator songs were haunting, instead of inspiring heroism in your allies and confusion in enemy ranks these emulators songs inspired suicidal tendencies in allies and fear in your enemies. the character feff is an unrated villain his design as well as his mechs designs were awesome.

While I really liked the movie, I love your alternative version. That said the narrative Gundam is an excellent design and in no way a reused mould.

You should check out the 'prequel' of sorts called Betterman. It's more of a horror/kaiju series with a back story on par with Evangelion. One of the supporting characters became a supporting character in Gaogaigar, and the two leads appeared in Final. While not an actual mecha series, it is part of Gaogaigar, and a tangential part of the Yuusha series. Betterman actually aired on G4's anime block in the early 00s, so there is a dub floating around. Finally, there's a manga that ties the two series together, and has been partially scanlated.

The problem with Zeta Gundam is Chars Attack which completely hardcore ignores/contradicts Zeta Gundam and everything kind of goes off Chars counterattack (except ZZ) which practically takes Z out of canon

The fact that the second story is actually a direct sequel from the tv series version because it follows the events that happens after macross 30 where they sent back to their word in the image of the protagonist of the character so there’s some changes in the story instead of the usual thing happening in the tv series it’s actually mind blowing

I'm pretty sure that's the whole arc of char in the entirety of Gundam UC is that He could've been a Hero, He could've been better, He could've been someone that was a Hero. But the underlying tragedy of his entire character is that he didn't, he lost hope when Kamille who to him represented hope literally got his soul stolen and left him braindead for the rest of the franchise. His entire story revolves around this flirting with that fact that Char very well could be a better person, a hero, an actual decent human being but he lets his fear, insecurity, and loss control him into a villain.

I sometimes feel like that I'm one of the few that found Gundam Unicorn overrated and only an ok story. And yes I am a UC fan.

Fun Fact: This and the VF-27 were made because of the YF-19. The YF-19 was notoriously hard to control despite the airframe performing well at high speeds because the average pilot couldn't handle the G force while maneuvering at high speeds. VF-25 solves this problem by utilizing ISC to effectively store the G force in another dimension to slowly trickle out over time and EX-gear helps enhance the pilot's strength to handle the few G's it couldn't store. YF-27 solves the same problem by cybernetically enhancing the human pilot into a super human that can handle the raw G-force without the EX-gear. Not surprisingly, EX-gear became the standard for all future variable fighters.
