I'm currently fitting a Schneider 18 way 3P board, plus an 8 way 3P board (just for dedicated 3P supplies), and a 16 way DIN rail enclosure to mount all the export meters and ARC devices. In total I have 52 single circuits, no ring mains, every circuit is on an RCBO as its looking like its going that way anyway. DNO has just upgraded my supply to 300KW with 20KW approved for export. Oh all of this is going into a very small 2-bedroom cottage which has two 22KW AC EV chargers, plus one 40KW DC charger. We have a 16KW ASHP, 20KW of PV and 30KW/h of battery storage. Both the sparkies thought I was mad when they saw the plan but its certainly been lucrative for them. Great video, very inspiring and love the attention to detail.

Nice job, does the positioning of the higher MCB,s and controls exceed 1450mm document M1 for a new build due to the size of the board, I suppose it depends on how switched on your building control are ?
@theowebsterelectricalservicesАй бұрын
It does exceed Doc m1 however we physically don’t have the space in there to make it work due to all of the plumbers equipment. This is something we discussed with the building inspector and was happy with the positioning due to the circumstances . It’s been noted on their report but he has said it won’t be a problem
@Andrew-su3wtАй бұрын
@@theowebsterelectricalservices that’s good it’s real world, the more sophisticated these jobs get the larger the scale of the equipment, I am surprised that such a large budget job had not gone smart home control4 or Lutron for the lighting, so no grid switches etc just keypads, that’s how we tend to go on larger jobs like this. Cheers
@theowebsterelectricalservicesАй бұрын
@Andrew-su3wt yeah he was pretty good about it to be fair. And I know what you mean however as soon as you go full smart home it pushes the price up that much more ! They are on a tight budget simply because of the sheer scale of the place. So we have made the best of what we can and given them the best possible install for their money I believe

Would you not have been better putting another flat T on the top left corner and carrying on to the ceiling straight up then put a flange end or grommet strip on the open end of trunking above the ceiling. Probs would have got the builder to tack the inside of the cupboard with pink plasterboard. Lovely work though 👌

@theowebsterelectricalservicesАй бұрын
With the bushes we have fitted the reality is there is still plenty of room for expansion but I understand where you’re coming from. At the end of the day this is in a new build domestic property so isn’t going to have the potential huge additions like a commercial premises
@jonathanp4128Ай бұрын
Have you tried to put covers back on it yet? I done exactly the same thing as you with 2x lock ring spacers only to have to dismantle and modify everything as the hinge side hits the trunking, you can get the cover on but it interferes with the trunking. Then it gets even worse when you put the trunking lid on. I had to use male couplers at the end of the day and leave a good 15-20mm gap on the hinge side. Hope yours works though.
