IS IT WORTH STRIPPING SWA ?

we rip out lots of small armoured cables 1.5mm-4mm. normally i would never strip them but is it worth doing?
we stripped of the armouring and weighed in the cable and steel to see if i was going to become a millionaire ......

The more work you do. The higher the value you get per kg. Household ( flex and twin and earth) £1.73/kg, sorted NO2 cable (singles) £2.41/kg and dry bright copper £5.70/kg. Even just stripping to singles get you more value. Again its a time thing. An hour stripping cable, you could be on a job earning 5/6 times more. I am nearly at my goal of getting a mft with scrap money. All from picking of picking up scrap left from plumbers and the wee off cuts after 2nd fixing.

We strip all copper over 16mm to bare copper and I usually get between £3-6k annually from it 👌🏻👌🏻 this was just a little exercise to see if the effort was worth it on smaller cables … which it seems not 🤣🤦🏻‍♂️
