Those are junky el cheapo ramps, and it looks like he’s riding the brakes with his left foot which is a huge no-no in a rwd vehicle pulling up onto the ramps because they’ll always grab first (before the back start to drag) and make the ramps want to slide like skis. If you Get quality ramps rated for the job at hand and learn to use them correctly, there’s nothing at all wrong with them.

Most of these ramps was tested with semi's, my dad always said to put both feet on both brake and gas, give it hella gas and as soon as you're on the ramp slam em brakes. The problem is you're being to gentle with the ramps, ofc they're gonna slide, they're made to hold your vehicle up 🙄

Well thanks for showing us how an IDIOT positions the metal car ramps. Now on the other hand, a person with a BRAIN Positions the ramps on the floor with 2 small holes drilled into the concrete directly in front of the ramps front face, stick a stout pin or screwdriver into the holes, and WHAT do You KNOW, the ramp Can't MOVE.

Safest way to use ramps is to jack the front end and slide the ramps under if you have means of a jack!

The ramps didn't break. I'll trust them unless I see rust/holes.

Ramps can help you lift the car but they can't think for you. Don't use them on smooth concrete dummy. P s. When I was a child I would put the water hose on the smooth concrete of my dad's carport and use it as a slip and slide.

It's plastic on concrete, obviously it's going to slide. There's ways to fix that.

The modern ramps are horrible. I had a set I purchased in the 1980's that were far more rugged and never slipped (and also weighed about 3 times the current metal ramps). I gave that set to I believe my brother over 30 years ago for his use. Recently I'm looking at getting another set of ramps. I would only go with "Race Ramps" now (which are not cheap; are solid foam, and don't slide). There are several ramp review videos on the internet and they show all the problems. Putting a wet cloth (or towel) under ramps does eliminate the ramps from sliding; but other modern features tend to be minimal compared to the ramps of the 1980's.

I have used a welcome mat under the back end of each ramp. Front wheel drive cars are easier to drive up onto the ramps.

You can also just unplug the parking brake and apply 12v dc to manually retract it. This is how I've been doing it.

There’s plastic adapters (actually made for low clearance vehicles)that go over these that facilitate going over them..
