With Gwen I'm stuck on the old stuff with No Doubt. I'll listen to Ian Hunter's new one.. His early solo records are very good "Short Back & Sides" for instance. Sheryl Crow and Saxon on the 2024 records, good recommendation. I should stream that St. Vincent today. Priest and Surfragettes and Jon Anderson's new band, I'm listening now !

I'm with you bro on a couple of points...crotchety old bastards Gilmour and Waters lol!...and new record selection prices require me to dig a hellava lot deeper than my arms can reach in my pockets! Of all those, I really want to pick up the Dickinson, Preist, Saxon and Phil Mogg albums, although I have them all on my apple playlist. Tough decisions must be made...especially when it is the only format I buy these days. With one exception, and you mentioned that too. Mickey's latest is so frigging killer! Awesome year for music. I finally have a car now that I can play music through my phone so I am downloading albums through Apple now to go along with what I buy. That’s probably going to decrease me buying as many cds. I’ll still be buying vinyl of course but I’m thinking some new releases might not warrant me getting record due to cost. Cheers!

Heh, I thought my tastes were wild but you've outdone me in 2024. The only two we matched on were Saxon and Judas Priest but that's not really a surprise. For me, bands like The Hot Damn!, Cats in Space, Beasto Blanco, D-A-D, Ironflame, Bourbon Boys (Swedish Outlaw Country), and a left field surprise from Steve Plunkett (Autograph) all dropped really good albums. Then came some of the late entries like the new Quireboys LP led by Spike called Wardour Street. I keep hearing that rock is dead, but my wallet is crying in pain all of the time from the releases.

Greetings Gary! Gwen looks awesome on that cover. Colton really loves a paper snack. One his high end culinary choices. I love that Messer Chuts artwork. Plus, it sounds fun as hell! Steve comes through with Ian Hunter. I love David Gilmour too. Super talented. He does veer mellow sometimes, but so do I. Accept! I have to give that Sheryl Crow album a stream. Yeah, as mentioned in my list, that Bruce Dickenson lost me a lot, it didn't make the cut for being in my top list. For me it was on par with the stuff Maiden has done recently, just kind of blah. Need to spend more time with it I guess, since others think differently. I still need to check out Mogg's Motel, another I hadn't gotten around to buying yet.

Honestly, if I didn’t have it on cd to where I was able to listen to in the car a lot I probably wouldn’t have kept giving it enough of a chance. There’s no way to buy all the releases we want (although you seem to get more than most lol) so we’re bound to miss some good ones. Thanks for watching!

Splendid selection there Gary. Not least, for me, Bruce, Accept and Saxon. Loved those album. Gwen... yeah, when you see your highschool crush, that rockin' alternate sporty, sexy, uncompromising godess again 25 years later and she's all the things you kind of despise and you can't even see a glimmer of her old self behind that soccer mom haze covering her vacious expression... I might be channeling some other thing going on in my life 🙄 Still might get the record mind 😄 Ah yes, this years wonderful Judas Priest. I brought the vinyl to Oslo last week and wow, I played both my CD and Vinyl over and over. Loved it! HavenMt bought Mr. Anderson. I don't think I bought enough new music in 2024 even though I bought a lot of albums. I guess I am stuck in the past. That could be my resolution for 2025. I need to get the Phil Mogg album. I do have the Ian Hunter and of course The Surfrajettes. A lot of people have celebrated that Jon Anderson album. Great list.

Well our lists are quite different, as I would expect. I wouldn’t pick Taylor’s album as most disappointing because I actually listened to that album quite a bit. Enjoyed a lot of it. Various car trips with my wife dictated that I listen to it. Thank you for checking in!

I was so much disappointed by it because I had no great expectations for it - same old same old producers, an album recorded on the road and her ego utterly unchecked by anything. Turns out I was right. The worst thing about it is how utterly absent she seems from it. It's not her worst record, I don't think, (my swifty daughter thinks it is!) but she has done much, much better. TRB 119, I think, will discuss now the dust has settled. You're always worth checking in on!
