@@rayjbb1494 thanks, I have some crossover symmetry bands, elite FTS and rogue bands, along with some Therabands but I have bad shoulders and when I travel, that’s mainly my concerns. I’d just look for bands with good reviews, they usually don’t have the best useful life since bands tend to break over time which is helpful if there is a sleeve on them to prevent the band from injuring yourself if it breaks and smacks you in the face. Get a door anchor too, rogue makes a really good one but can be overkill. Suspension trainers are helpful for traveling too.

How safe it really is when max loaded on standard set? From what I see, with 75 lbs and standard screw it engages only on 1/4 inch into the handle. That doesn't look for me fully safe to hold that weight. Screw has 3.5 inch without knob, and 75 lb = 6 x 5 lb plates (0.5 inch each) and 1 x 2.5 lb (0.25 inch). Can you actually use the longer screw on 75 lbs setting?
@GoreckiFit
@GoreckiFit Ай бұрын
@@adrianch3539 These are very safe while using them, as long as the screw is tightened. If you add all the weight plates on to one screw which is 3.700 inches, you have just about a half inch that engages fully in the handle. This means that 4 of those threads are completely engaged and due to design, this is plenty secure when going up to 75lbs. As for the next question, the longer screws can only be used when you have more than 75lbs because the two ends will hit each other and not allow them to screw into handle. Hope this helps.

I didnt get the part of putting a dumbbell or kettlebell on a barbell sleeve, never saw that before. I believe it's more for home gym owners that collect every product that comes out,, I'm sure that is what the maker of this hoping. @@GoreckiFit Price is $40 with 20% off, I knew they would be $50 or more and that is price gouging but all small companies do it,, every single one because they make such a small number of units. Guy makes 1,000 units because he doesn't know if any of them are gonna sell so he can't make 100K units and they not sell, he'd be bankrupt. Cost to make each unit is around $17-$20 with 1K units ordered. If ordering more units to be made, cost obviously goes down. $50 for one single unit is around 125%. Anything over 100% of profit on one unit is a term we use called price gouging. He starts the price so high though so if it starts selling a lot,, he will be a millionaire and it gives him wiggle room to always put it on sale and still make a profit of 100%. At $50 for one unit, it is always applied whether it's on sale or not. I'm not one of those that buys every product that comes out just to say I own it, thankfully my ego has not ever risen that high but most home gym owners are like this and people are coming up with anything to sale because they know these type of people will buy a rock tied to a stick if you say it's for a home gym. Those same people will then justify buying that rock tied to a stick until the cows come home. People are trying to think up any ty hing to sale and thats fine ad ling as they dont price gouge but they all do and home gym owners justify thr price saying that's just the economy know, no that's price gouging.

@@bobbyhunt3009 so I actually met this guy at HGC and he seemed like he genuinely wanted to help people. So the first thing I’ll say is sometimes you come across as insulting. You basically said I’m a guy that just buys all home gym equipment almost like a collector and that’s not true. I stated in my review why I bought this and I didn’t buy it to be a collector. You really need to stop saying that because sometimes people will accept something for free in exchange for a review and there are plenty out there, but some actually see a reason to buy something. Trust me Bobby, there is plenty of shit out there that I could buy if I wanted to be a collector and grow the channel. I buy only stuff I see a use for that looks like it’s good quality and will fill a spot in my training. As for the price, this is also patented and that’s like minimum of $10,000 plus fees if someone wants to try and fight him on it. Check out his website and see why he made the product, it was because he saw a need for it in his own training while resources were hard to come by for training. He’s also revised the design for quite a large amount of versions and has kept making revisions to make his product the best it can be. All these things take money and if you’re spending all the time running a business, you have to make a profit to live. I’m also an accountant and you probably don’t understand cost accounting. If it takes $17-20 of material to make it, you also have to be the manufacturer a profit otherwise they won’t do the job at cost. You have to figure out how to distribute it and that requires a lot of time, effort and money. It’s not just paying for shipping but it’s also packing and assembly as well. I’d guess his margins are much lower and I very much doubt this guy is a millionaire just because he made this one product. Plus you also have to consider advertising to get his product seen and the expense to operate the website and have someone manage his social media and take care of customer service. I’ve spoke with a few people about running a business and there is a lot of hidden expenses that the consumer never even considers.

@@bobbyhunt3009 I didn’t blast you, now you’re taking my comment the wrong way. I was just saying there are a ton factors that go into making a product. Until you invent a product and go into business, it’s all speculation. Price gouging really isn’t what this guy is doing, there are a lot of factors that go into making a product that consumers don’t think about. And if you reread your comment, you said people buy stuff just for the sake of buying and your glad your not one with that kind of ego. If I took the comment the wrong way I apologize, but sometimes it’s just ok to say, man that product isn’t for me and move on. I don’t think you need to be negative in the comment section, if it’s not for you just move on man. There is no reason to waste the energy in the comment section to write something if you don’t like it or how the industry is. Trust me, my feeling weren’t hurt and I mean no ill will against you. I just said there is plenty of shit that I could buy that would help the channel grow, be cheap enough and make a bunch of useless content. I’ll leave you with this one, we’re not all in the same situations, some people only can accept free equipment in hopes that they can review it and built up their social media a bit to only get back a small portion of the amount of time it takes to make a review. This review took me 10 hours and I’ve never received a single piece for free and affiliate payments are less than $150 the entire time I’ve done this. For some that’s a problem and they can’t afford to waste that time without getting something in return, so that’s why many people take free stuff. It’s then up to them to be honest in their review. I watch many reviews before I buy something and then makeup my mind whether something is worth purchasing. It’s up to the consumer to filter through the information and make an educated decision when buying gym equipment.

My issue with this bench are the wheel placement, you have them on top like I seen everyone have them, including mine that I bought used so it was pre-built and I don’t know if that’s how it was in the instruction manual and the only time I have ever seen them on the bottom was on this video on 4:07 which to me I always thought about flipping the bar so the wheel’s would be on the bottom which make more sense to me for reason being is that you don’t have to lift the opposite side of the bench so high in order for the wheel’s to make contact with the floor. The other issue is the U of the legs/feet, yes it makes it very stable but for me and this might be a tall people issue I’m only 5’11 is they get in my way when I’m benching and if I’m walking by I can’t tell you how many times I’ve nearly tripped or stumped my foot on that U. The last issue and you already mentioned it is that it doesn’t have a handle but these 3 are minor thing’s. The bench is solid. Some additional months in now, are you happy with how this is working out and holding up for glute ham raises? I'm debating between this or a floor GHD (looking at Titan), which will also do hip thrusts and split squats and store vertical, and pairing either of these options with the Westside Reverse Hyper that also folds up. The Titan is $500 shipped, and if I wind up wanting regular Hypertensions, I could add the Ironmaster Hypercore to the bench I already own for $250 netting me out ~$50 less than the ~$800 that the Freak Athlete is currently running shipped, but space is a real consideration and this would start to push it. I dont have any interest in nordic curls or GHD crunches due to catchers knee and lower back issues. Would you say go with the dedicated GHD in this scenario where the all in one benefits are not completely needed or say that the Freak Athlete does the GHD thing just as well?
@GoreckiFit
@GoreckiFit 3 ай бұрын
So honestly, I bought this mainly for Nordics and the extra versatility was a big bonus. That being said, if you aren’t gonna utilize it for everything and the reverse hyper is not a reverse hyper so you’d still need the Westside which I have, then going the Titan will be a good choice. The Titan will be more stable in my opinion and doing reverse hypers will feel more stable as well. I will say I think the Freak Athlete is holding up very well and it’s easily a piece I use a few times a week. The Velcro GHD pad is the only thing I’m not a fan of otherwise it works very well. Reverse hyper again is not a real reverse hyper but the other exercises work great. If you use the Freak Athlete mostly at the lower setting, it’s a bit more stable but the Titan one is probably gonna feel more like a GHD and work well for Glute ham raises. The freak athlete can do them, but the Velcro does have some give, doesn’t physically come undone, but you can feel it move a tad. Ultimately comes down to the goal and your use for it. The FA does a great job for a versatile compact unit, but it sacrifices the feeling of being stable until you do the exercise. Once you do the exercise, It feels good.

I am predisposed to love this product as an inventor and creative minamilist type (who has gone as far as drawing up various sketches of commercial and home gym innovations myself but have instead stayed focused on higher returing efforts in my career), so it's uniquely painful to turn to other more dedicated and limited options. I see the potential in a 2.0 or 3.0 derivative of Freak Athlete products being very exciting if the company can make it that far. Even if it might not be a fit for your needs, you'll probably enjoy checking out the Tytax products. I owned and enjoyed the M1, had a T1-X on order, and got close to ordering the MX with the JA option recently but space did not permit.

Thanks, just looked it up and in most cases that would be correct, but loosen and unloosen mean basically the same thing. To make something loose, or to make something completely free.

Premium looking handles!
@GoreckiFit

They are very nice looking and super lightweight due to the aluminum design with only the attachment point being stainless steel.

@@GoreckiFit Ah ok, they're aluminum. I have the Bare Steel Equip hammer handles and they're nice, but have a different look because they're steel.

Hey, you think you could seal row or chest supported row with this thing?
@GoreckiFit
@GoreckiFit 4 ай бұрын
I think the pad is too wide for those. You can remove the pad and use your core, but it’s not gonna be good for seal row or chest supported row just due to the width of pad.

Nice overview and review. I have the Lang bar and so far dig it. What are your favorite handles to attach to it?
@GoreckiFit
@GoreckiFit 5 ай бұрын
The main ones I use would be the Prime RO-T8 handles and the Rogue D handles. The hammer handles are the ones from Klevabuilt and they feel good, but I only use occasionally to mix up my workouts.

I wish they made them with stainless steel handles with a bit more aggressive knurling. Especially for the price.
@GoreckiFit
@GoreckiFit 5 ай бұрын
Yeah a bit more knurling without being too aggressive is nice. My Iron Masters for going over 75 are very aggressive and some might find it uncomfortable so a lot of companies including Rep & Rogue, go more passive/medium to play it safe. Stainless would add to the cost, I quoted a few other companies and Umax I recall was much more for stainless.

With out a doubt it will add to the cost but if I’m already paying a lot of money for them. I wouldn’t mine pay a bit more for stainless steel. I shouldn’t have should come standard with all the high quality materials already. But that’s just my opinion.

Do Mad Spotter hooks fit on these?
@GoreckiFit
@GoreckiFit 5 ай бұрын
These were prototypes and they haven’t come out yet so not 100% sure but here’s the spec requirements for mad spotter hooks according to their website. “Handle length should be 4.5" (114 mm) or more, and handle diameter should be 1.4" (36 mm) or less”. Looks like they might drop in from the top even with the rails, but can’t be sure.

Why are you so strong maxing out this machine

Only on rows, that high pulley is 1:1 and I doubt I’ll max that out ever with 350lbs on it.

How much is the full stack and is it 2/1 ratio and why are you so strong bro

The stack is 350lbs with 2:1 ratio and I had a 10lb plus the 5lb adder pin for a total of 190lbs for seated rows. My strength I’d say is average, but appreciate you calling me strong.

@@Pler1978 the revisions that I’m aware of are different coating for plates, fixing the small amount of play in that slide mechanism, and they might make a smooth surface on handles for the incremental plates to sit on better. A storage cart and walk in stand are still in the works. Yep, it’s gonna be one long ass wait for these. David PÉPIN said everything will be fixed and production ones will be perfect.
