Keeping this one at the forefront heading into 2025! It’s all about how you want to see yourself, but I definitely enjoy training for performance over training for looks. Way more enjoyable as you said.

Mindset Shifts: 1. Commit to producing results. Be results driven. 2. Embrace change. 3. Insource more, outsource less. 4. Persue the process, not the final product. 5. Welcome downtime.

14:00 wait so if your employee points out that your frequent change of mind is disruptive to the quality of the product/project that the employees are working on, and you then state that you will continue to do that, this indicates that you do not care about the feedback your employees provide. Nick take this advice to heart, and be open minded to implementing different managerial tactics.
@jodyplummer33112 күн бұрын
Is the key part of that feedback you got more about leadership and bringing the team along with you when you make decisions? It's not so much about the decision but how you share the thinking with your team so that they understand how it impacts them and they stay connected and follow through

Internet companies are the worst. My house was hit by lightning ⚡️ this summer and I own a pet resort and pet sitting company I depend on my internet, the lightening melted the box in the garage. It was soooo hard to get them to come out and it took weeks

Amazing video, Nick. I wish you an amazing next year, much accomplishments and new records. I believe this year was very dense for most of us, but the next will be more dense. Thank you, Nick for your passion, lessons you teach us, videos where you share your life and achievements with us. This is invaluable, really.

Respect your view. As a truthful person I believe you are, what do you think about the Bible and the many contradictions that are in it? If we both believe GOD doesn’t make any mistakes, why would there be so many? Wish you well
@JacqHundley2 күн бұрын
@ This is not the forum for a debate on accuracy of the Bible. I do not see any contradictions in it.
@Damian-pk6kj2 күн бұрын
Offcourse not. Just wanted to ask you. With an open heart , go check it out. Many of them, even your scholars advise so. I just seen the Bible verse you presented , that’s only why I asked. I wish you nothing but the best. Don’t be defensive, no attack here. Take care bro!

I think being careful what you consume is huge. 2025, i won't be consuming as much content from creators I don't align with morally. 2024 i over consumed negative content without realizing it.

"True character is evaluated in moments of unplanned discomfort not comfortable convenience." Solid insight. I resonate a lot with that. You have to call on parts of yourself that you didn't even know were there when things go off the rails in an unforeseen way.

Thanks for sharing Nick. So happy for you to walk away preety much unharmed from what could have been a tragedy for your family. God is good and you must have great guardian Angel, lucky you. Secondly as an expat from Europe in NC it's still amaze me how US infrastructure is unprepared for pedestrians/cyclists. You have to drive preety much everywhere. Still I don't give up to run and bike on roads. Honestly I'm not sure if it's worthy everytime I do it. Sometimes I feel it's just my stubbornness which is not good. Once I was on a bike ride a guy just stopped rapidly his truck inchees from rear of my bike. He passed me by and slowed down explaining himself it wasn't intentional. Well...every day above the ground is a good day. Stay blessed

I’ve been reflecting on life lately and thought about how life is the biggest endurance sport and we’re all playing it whether you want to or not. So when things get hard I remind myself the only alternative to playing the greatest endurance sport (life) Is to be dead and well right now I’m still alive so what really is my alternative? Just stay in the fight, one foot in front of the other, just one more day. And then I love to end it with “Endure mf ENDURE!” 😊 I learned this from my metatative runs when it’s just you and your thoughts 💭

Something I really like to use is Running Power from Garmin. Since your adding the Garmin Chest strap back to yoir runs you should try using power in your training. I find it to really help me keep my intensity more consistent.

My greatest critique from the Dallas race you hit on really well. 30:24 having to dodge people, while running significantly changed the pace of my partner, and I runs! It seemed wide enough when I was just watching other people on their runs, but when I got into it, I quickly realized that running was going to be a lot more difficult maneuvering around!Dallas should be a two day event next year, which would hopefully cut down on the number of waves per day and eliminate the massive buildup of people at certain areas of the course!

Regular table sugar and sodium citrate does wonders for me for fueling. 1/10th the cost and no gut distress up to 90 grams per hour if needed. 1:1 glucose to fructose ratio. Game changer.

Most definitely that was my first thought when he said he took more caffeine. But it’s like he said it came down to his technique in certain stations. I see him sub 60 soon.

Dallas was my first one also…..Open 50-54. Thought I’d be fine on burpee broad jump too but absolutely SUCKED. 😂 Overall happy with result and loved it. I’m hooked. Wash DC next. You still crushed it but get what you mean about being disappointed. Wish I saw you.

Slowing down can be a “doing” too. I’m a single mom for 25 years and I’m so used to “doing” all the time. But I got sick about 5 years ago and I had to completely slow down. And by “doing mindset” did help me heal but I had to find the balance.
