39:57 I mentioned it before almost a year ago but it’s really not that hard what the show needed was just more nuance to the fanus conflict in general. Like yes Adam is a victim of abuse himself but all they does is explain his behavior. It doesn’t excuse it tho just because someone hurt you doesn’t give you a pass to hurt others especially the people closest to you. The problem rises when he’s the most prominent white fang member without anything to justify his extreme outlook like say the active abuse of Faunus or the rise of human supremacy groups just makes him seem crazy. And now the cause looks crazy.

I will say, both episodes is a meme paradise.

The only reason I can think of as to why people would call Erza a Mary Sue is the fact that the show after a while leans into the whole "power of friendship conquers all" trope a little too hard. That being said, I do believe Erza is a well written character and not Mary Sue.

I dont think the supporting cast received too much atention. Imo they received just enough to flesh out the world, and lets us get to know the villains and others just enough. The season in general could have needed double the episodes to give everybody the atention they deserve. For example I would love to know why Husk is damaged as he claims he is. So far Alastor seems like a chill boss if you do as you are told. But thats probably not true, but the show doesnt bother showing it

Honestly i really think it has to do with the time frame of when winx came out. We had a lot of movies and tv shows of a nerdy or plain girl progtag and the popular girl. The fairies portraying the plain or kind girl protag and the witches portraying the popular girls. The 4kids dub really ampt that up even more, using lingo like losers or senior like as in high school. Witches were just the product of their time to make it marketable to young girls. That's my take on it anyways. Also Griffin was kind of right about witches independent because despite the trix working together, they often betray each other or deny actually being friends or caring about each other.

I like Cinelume's, Nickelodeon's and DuArt's english dubs of Winx Club. I don't like Dubbing Borthers and 3Beep's dub. If I can choose I want some Cinelume's, Nick's and DuArt's voices together and everything else from these dub I want out of the dub. I think this dub is better to me when all of my favs is a in same dub. In every dub I think only side characters voices are good. I think too it's a sad because Cinelume dubbed only a first four seasons. I think it's a good dubbing all seasons and we don't need a other dubbing studios or everything else is okay but delete 3Beep and Dubbing brothers. Many years I only watch my homecountry's dub of Winx Club (Finland) and like season 5 to 8 and WOW dub but don't like season 1 to 4 and movies dub. Latest years (beetween 2021 and 2024) I started watch Winx Club in english (I like english language so mutch and more than my native language finnish and I like watch cartoons too in english [some cartoons I watch only finnish, some only english and some sometime in english and sometime in finnish]) first season 7 with DuArt's dub (I like it but Winx girls voices only a neutral/okay to me), second all movies (I like most of voices but don't Bloom's voice Cindy Robinson) after that World Of Winx with DuArt dub (I like it but Winx girls voices still only a neutral/okay to me) and now season 1 to 4 with Cinelume's dub and I like it so much (one of my favorite after Nickelodeon and DuArt's dub) and only voice what I don't like it's a Sky's voice (I like more he's finnish voice in all seasons and he's DuArt voice in season 7.) I heard Nickelodeon's voices in 1st and 2nd movies Nick dub version and Nick tv specials and I like this dub what is my first or second favorite dub (I don't know is Nickelodeon's or Cinelume's dub better in my opnion.)
