I always thought Bloom earned her Enchantix because she “saved herself”. I think it’s a much better explanation as it would explain 1) why its still powerful (she’s the fucking fairy of the dragon flame) but unstable , and 2) set up the explanation for how the other students were expected to earn their “final fairy form” but make the Winx stand out as particularly powerful because the self preservation/ self empowerment is not as strong as a true sacrifice/moment of heroism. It also opens the door for how evil fairies could gain Enchantix since they’re likely not putting their lives on the lives for someone else’s benefit. Bonus would be that if you go the bloom route maybe you can’t transform for as long and don’t look nearly as pretty as our main girls lol. Like maybe they just get the new wings and fairy dust which is still pretty op.

28:13 This reminds me of an idea I was toying around with. Valtor referred to Bloom as a creature of passion. We also saw this in season one where Bloom would activated the Wisperian Crystals whenever she got mad. So, what if the Dragon Fire was tied to your emotions? This would be similar to the Teen Titans episode “Switched” where Raven and Starfire swap consciousnesses with each other. Starfire’s powers are more effective when experiencing stronger emotions. Raven’s are better off when the wielder is in control of their emotions (sometimes coming across as robotic and aloof). This brings us to season six. What if in order to use Bloomix, the members had to control their emotions? Stella, Musa, and Aisha tend to be overly emotional whereas Flora and Tecna tend to be more reserved. So, the first three would have issues with their powers going out of control while the latter two would struggle to bring out the full potential of their powers. This could also be a great way for the Pixies to be useful in season six. First, we’re bringing Tune and Digit back. Amoré, Tune, and Piff have always been able to be calming forces for their bonded fairies. Chatta and Digit are better are helping their bonded fairies be more expressive. We could even skip the who “noble and brave acts worthy of a fairy” nonsense and just acquire Bloomix the second Bloom shares her Dragon Fire with the others. This way, the real challenge is to learn to harmonize with the power. Or we could throw it back to season one where Bloom saved her parents from a funnel the Trix conjured. Stuff on par with that is what I’d consider to be worthy of unlocking Bloomix (not back flips and resolving a petty argument..).

Me personally, I wished that Bloom’s Enchantix looked incomplete so it sells the idea of her form being unstable, you know? Then in the movie, her outfit can change to show that she finally earned her completed Enchantix form.

They did give her an incomplete look idea. In season 3 she doesn't have the full rainbow pattern (there's only cyan, indigo and green when it's supposed to change color in an inverted rainbow formation according to the stockart going violet-indigo-green-yellow-pinksince red and orange are accounted for via her hair) on her dress nor are her wings as big or bejeweled as the others. In SOTLK the missing rainbow pattern is added (pink trim at the base, violet at the top, yellow in the center and her barrettes are also now pink and blue)...though season 4 reverts back to the incomplete look for some reason.

Even as a little kid, I assumed that Bloom being unable to get her enchantix because Sparx is frozen would lead to her getting her enchantix from Earth. Really simple birthplace versus home stuff, which is a little cliche, but also I feel still would have been more engaging than just believing in herself. I love Bloom but I wish she'd gotten more storylines that incorporated Earth in the early seasons. Always rubbed me the wrong way how quickly she acclimated to Magix and how eager she was to leave Earth. I guess she did bring pizza to Magix though.
