Exclusivity is like THE reason to buy a console though. Why buy a Nintendo switch otherwise?

I think its much more complex than you make it. So you ultimately need a machine where you can play with friends. And that is playstation for me. So most 3rd party titles I play on the ps5 unless its like an indie game that I want on Steam Deck. Switch is great for local multiplayer with friends over. And if its a mouse dependent game then I go PC. Playstation is my home hub and primarily where I game. So I want it to look the best it possibly can I guess.

I love PC, but I’d still recommend a standard PS5 personally.

Agreed. It’s too expensive. People are giving me flack in the comments for being a PC player, but what they don’t know is that I primarily play console and am still rocking a 1070 in my rig lol. I can’t even play current games on my PC anymore

An unlikely number of caveats are needed for a console to be less affordable a pc, 95% of console buyer will not reach that threshold. A ps5 is 450 580 cad, a 1 tb ssd is 100, 150 cad, which u need if u want more then 4 games. So for 150 250 cad extra for a pro u r getting 200gb extra space, double the fps, higher graphics settings, much higher resolution at 4k, and also way better ray tracing, all that for 150 extra? U would be getting ripped off buying the base model over the pro. The standard model is the real scam. The ps5 is equivalent to a 3060ti, and the pro is like a 4070, massive difference only for 150. The PS5 Slim IS a better deal, you can currently get one new with a drive for $399 but it's just that when we get to the end of the cycle, games are gonna run like crap on the PS5 Slim, and run well on a PS5 Pro. The base PS5 will essentially be an afterthought, it's already having top much trouble running games on performance mode in games so for that little gpu and optimization in the ai upscaling, it's worth it.

Same. I don’t understand how people can tolerate 30fps. Many games require you to sacrifice too much on regular PS5 to get 60 fps. FF7 rebirth is virtually unplayable. Is it like $200 overpriced? Sure. But it has been 4 years since I bought the last one so big deal.

@@jontanner it’s not even overpriced , try to build a pc with the same cost with mouse/keyboard and 2tb memory , once u include all them it gets really hard to compete with the pro

I know it’s a humble brag, but I got super lucky and was able to get the 30th anniversary Pro bundle. I can’t wait for it to get here. I like tech and like knowing I’m getting the best quality out of my games. I know it’s not for everyone, it’s a $700 enthusiast purchase for sure, and not everyone wants or needs it.

I didn’t know about the stand not being included, but it’s still a far better deal than the Pro. I’m not worried about what people do with their own money, that’s entirely their business. This video is meant to inform people on why it’s in their best interest to just get a regular or slim PS5. I do sit in front of a PC. Alongside my PS5, PS3, PS4, Xbox One X, and Xbox Series X. So I am very well informed on what is a good deal and what isn’t.

And all these youtubers making PC for 700 are tripping they nevertheless people who would swap real cost A console gamers owns there tv and games and can play where ever want but these youtubers build a basic PC but Never add Desk and chair Mouse and keyboard Windows which is not included on a home build There games have to rebuy off steam or epic . A decent cooling system to play for extended periods which a console does very easy . A capture card which again is built in on ps . A mic to record All the. Cost to have what a console gamers already have is no where near 700 So yes the pro to those who.wamt it is very worth th money in 2024 as was the ps4 pro back in the day as it gave better load times and helped older games as will ps5 pro . And anyone who truly knows computers know sony need pro versions to help them with future of next console aka ps6 as helps them get a base line of what they need in there system ps5 base is now 4 years old and.on 4 year old hardware ps5 is 2024 hardware and only people with hands on are likes of digital foundry who say it's a massive step up from base . People need to stop worrying what other adults are doing or going to do and stay in there lane

Not necessarily. Everyone is misunderstanding just why this is so expensive in comparison. The base PS5 was sold at a loss in order to recoup on software. The ps5 pro does not need to do that because it is a niche product for a very small group who wish to buy it.

I ordered the PS5 Pro because I feel like games I want to play are now coming out or just releases recently. I'm a Horror game fanatic so the list is already great.... Alan Wake 2, Silent Hill 2, Resident Evil 4, and a few others. Of course I want to try Steller Blade, GOW Ragnarok and Returnal. And I definitely want to play through Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West. Love those games! There's just so many cool ones coming out too... Dragon Age Veilgard looks sweet
