So if the wind bake kit refuses to budge the piston I'm thinking that is a sign of a seized piston??

This video was brilliant - managed to change the blub myself! Thanks a million! It was the bulb for the RPM gauge/speedometer that needed to be replaced. The bulb can be removed from the base (Toshiba V-2) and then bought separately. The bulb is a T6.5 W2.2x5.2D 12V 1.7W (I ended up having to order it online - went to at least 5 autoparts shops, as well as the Nissan dealership - no one knew what bulb it was!) It does look like the bulbs for the indicators etc are a different smaller size (just in case that's the one you're looking to change!)

did you get any issues with warning lights remaining on after this thanks
@EllaMurphy-q7q7 күн бұрын
@@paulhunter123No...no issues after I popped it back in - so far anyway! I only removed the base for the RPM meter bulb, replaced the bulb in that and then popped it back in

But now another problem. Does your key work with that unit or does it have to be reprogrammed or is a BSI reboot needed after this?? Because I now don't have interior lights and no indicators. I replaced only my indicator switch with a new one.

Thanks for this. I'm a technician but videos like this save me loads of time wondering if it's a headlight hooked behind the bumper or not👍

The tensioner seems so loose on that 8 mm tread . Doesn’t it need a nylon bush or something else in it to support it more ?

My pads are binding since i replaced them. Took apart again and the piston freely moves in and the pins all ok. But once i compress the brake pedal, the piston doesnt back off. Any ideas? Someone mentioned resetting abs?

Which side is that? Because I’ve just been trying to change my front indicator bulb on the drivers side, there’s literally no room, I can only squeeze my hand in side ways, and grab it with two fingers, but can’t twist the bulb holder with two fingers? I looked at removing the whole headlight unit, as there were only 2 screws on the top, but after removing them it didn’t want to come out, so I’m guessing there’s screws under the bumper or something? Anyway decided to let the garage do it tomorrow EDIT, took it to Halfords this morning, he was struggling for a few minutes, trying to do it with his hand, he couldn’t budge it, using his torch, taking pictures of it with his phone etc, then he got a screw driver out, managed to pop it out with that, then putting it back in took him seconds, so it CAN in be done in situ without removing the headlight or bumper, it’s just abit of a faff!

Interesting video & a job well done considering all of the various appropriate tools were not utilised for home instructional purposes!! (fine) However & of some concern was the fact that "NO SAFETY GLASSES" were worn, "NO NOSE/MOUTH FILTER"was used against the "POISONOUS" dust that was floating around in the atmosphere when the drum was initially removed??? Also as a new bearing was being fitted there was no hand/finger protection (gloves) from possible dirt/dust contamination etc, etc.!! I'm currently learning this stuff at a training institution & with respect, if my tutor had of caught me implementing this level of wokmanship he would have booted my arse forthwith & given me low marks & rightfully so!! Sure these aspects I've pointed out (& with respect) may not be absolutely necessary but they duly display a good & totally professional level of competence!! Might not have been the way Grandad used to do it but in line with modern vehicle servicing methods & practices, they are without a doubt the right & proper way to do this type of work!! Safety is "PARAMOUNT" & it doesn't matter if it is in the home or the workshop as it makes no difference to any resulting accident!! As we all have to learn whatever please accept this critique with grace!!! As a side issue, we also put wheel bearings that are to be inserted into a vehicle & try & leave them overnight (or even a few hours) into a fridge/freezer to cool the bearings & therefore make their insertion so much easier!! (it surely works as the buggers simply fly in) 😀😁😋😛👌👌
