Combos aren't great against Mordor. You never want to melee Mordor because Trolls and Mumakils would wreck, so you are better off maxing Archers and shooting down Orcs, Trolls and Nazgul before they reach your army. Maybe a few knights to trample orc combos, but majority Archers. I haven't figured out whether Rangers or Archers are better in the campaign. Rangers are stronger but you can only field half as many.
