Cooking Simulator EP329: [Sushi DLC] Day 19- Oil Drainer Broke the Game!
We started the day with preparing a LOT of shrimp tempura! :D
THEN.... disaster struck.
There was a game breaking bug! Can't even save the game, exit the game, or what not. Had to force-stop the game and restart! Why would the discarding of the paper towel not be properly processed correctly? As soon as player clicks on the bin, it should just be considered discarded! How is the crumpled paper towel able to return to the tray and then glitch it out is beyond my comprehension. Anyway the disastrous moment was 6:44.
Another bug at 8:23.. The oil drainers just suddenly glitch out!
And then another bug at 12:30 where we are no longer able to get ingredients consecutively from some of the small containers and it happens randomly, more for the containers on the left than on the right. This is a problem that will plague us till the end of the series. Just right after at 15:21 the bug already repeats itself!
Oh and if we're only just slightly careless, or if the game even lags for a split second, we could have the maki ingredients go into the next row and thus ruining the entire maki. 21:06 was a good example. It was somewhat laggy, and I was already frustrated with the bugs and having had to repeat the prep phase.

Hi. As of the time of my reply (25 Aug 2024)(v6.0.11), there's still quite a number of bugs, a few of which can be game breaking. They're not easily encountered, although their causes are still unknown. E.g. the oil drainer towel discard in this episode, or the nigiri station not detecting the rice (Featured in EP327). The bugs aside, there's still several quirks of the DLC that we need to navigate as players. However, those aside, the game can be quite representative of a sushi shop, with step-by-step preparation of the tempura, the tamagoyaki, etc. There's also a decent variety of ingredients commonly found in a sushi. So I would recommend some familiarity with the base game as in Cooking Simulator, before purchasing and trying out the DLC. It can help us identify to some extent what are actually bugs, and what are part of the game's design choices so that we can find our own workarounds if something does bother us.

You're welcome! :) Also do note that Cooking Simulator 2 has been announced on Steam for quite some time, though without an exact release date, so you might want to factor that into your considerations for purchases.
