Hey, would you recommend the 450SS for long rides? Let's say 300-400 miles.
@GTCharlie

For myself I wouldn’t, but I would say its possible. The cushion seat is super comfortable to me and the positioning feels great. I think I’d be good on long rides with rhino grips on. I’ve only taken it about 25-30 miles deep though haha

Would love to know more about "adjust throttle" because i've sent an email to the official/licenced cf moto mechanic over here and they have no idea what it means. I feel it's a tiny bit loose, if that's the right word, but fixing that would not do a lot for the overall performance, as was noted in that reddit comment.
@GTCharlie

@@Harpeia hi! Its not to improve performance but to reduce the slack in the throttle. That way you dont have to travel as far to get the power you need. I guess in a way it is improving how the throttle performs 🤔…

Thanks man I appreciate it. lots of help with gettin my seats out. Great video. Would you know what bracket size I’ll need so I can install new seats? Do I also gotta get a certain seat or any seat works?
@GTCharlie
@GTCharlie Ай бұрын
@@user-te4jh8qh9p thank you! Most of them are universal (for aftermarket seats)but sometimes you’ll need to plan how to raise or lower them if you get the cheap ones. I used a few oversized nuts back in the day. The con is that you’ll have less threads holding your seat. You can also buy longer bolts to correct that issue. Universal brackets should fit universal seats (most of them, anyway)

Hey! Pretty much the throttle has a LOT of slack. I noticed it as well when I examined a few of them. The service guy agreed, took it to the back and reduced the slack / freeplay. You can do it at home too! He did it in about 2 minutes

@@GTCharlie haven't ridden a bike before and don't know much about them, thinking of getting this as my first bike, what does slack (/Freeplay) mean in this case? And what could I search up to fix this issue myself once I do get the bike? 😅
@GTCharlie
@GTCharlie 2 ай бұрын
@@decshado69 ahh i got you bro! Imagine if you’re driving a car right… Then you push the gas in an inch. Nothing happens. Its loose. Another inch. Its loose. Nothing happens. All of a sudden, the next inch you push in, you feel a slight resistance and you finally see the car moving forward. Thats like the bikes throttle. It has a lot of slack in the throttle at first. You can correct it by adjusting the throttle to have less free play. So then, it won’t feel like you’re trying to do a muscle-up on your throttle while trying to pass someone on the freeway :)

Id say absolutely yes. You’d have the experience already to deal with turns and issues in the road, so I feel like 400-600 would be a fun experience for you.
