Where did you get the French wire from?
@AngablueАй бұрын
I bought it online in the UK. If you are in the US, you can use the Beadalon French wire which is also great.

Where can I buy the filament wire?
@Angablue Жыл бұрын
Hello Glenda. Do you mean the French wire? I suggest you look up for it online. Beadalon sells it in small packs of 1 metre, diameter 0.9mm which is perfect. Let me know if you need any further help. All the best.

Most pearls are knotted with size 4 silk. Doing it two strands like in this instruction means that you would use size 2 silk.

Great video! Question: why is it important to knot between each pearl?
@Angablue2 жыл бұрын
Knotting is traditionally used to protect pearls from rubbing against each other and to keep them from flying everywhere if the strand breaks. Thanks for watching my video. Please leave a 👍

@@Angablue does it have to be a double knot or can it just be a single knot especially for smaller pearls?
@Angablue2 жыл бұрын
@@Stitch_626AS it can be a single knot. As long as the knot doesn’t go through the bead.

I don't understand where the french wire was used? Can you explain that?
@Angablue2 жыл бұрын
It was used on both ends of the necklace. The French wire function is to protect the silk thread from friction against the metal clasp. I hope this makes sense. Let me know if you have any further question, please.

I dreaded using my loom until I discovered the slide connector, BUT that limited me to certain lengths of bracelets only. The connectors don't work ideally for earrings. I have used this strategy on 2 pairs of earrings. The first one I made the mistake of pulling the wrong thread and losing a final row of beads, but by the 3rd piece, I nailed it and it took less time than tying off and gluing my pieces or, Heaven forbid, weaving the thread back into the piece!!!!! Thank you so much for this simple techique. You have changed my beading life!!!

If the hole in the pearl is 0.6mm will 0.35mm silk cord better or 0.3mm?
@Angablue2 жыл бұрын
I will be honest with you, I have never used the 0.6mm ones and I think even the 0.3mm cord could be too big for it. Because remember! The cord goes inside each pearl two times. Sorry I couldn’t help this time.
