I heard Jon when Colloseum II visited the very small town of Boras in Sweden, dont remember the year, probaly late 70-ies, - i was the drummer of our band and was impressed by the awesome solo he made! - we played jazz-rock as many youngsters did back then, and not the terrible rap-crap they do today! :D greetings, Levi

Arbiter Autotune drums at the beginning! I went out and bought a set of these after I heard Jon Hiseman - strangely, I didn't sound quite like him, though...

Parkinson's is a b*stard disease - it does so much more damage than just the obvious shaking. It ripped my Dad apart. And what a torture for a musician. Jon Hiseman was my first drum hero, and criminally underappreciatrd in his own country. I saw the band a few times, and spoke to him, and he was a good guy. Sad story.

Beide waren große Musiker. Ich habe sie mehrfach zusammen und jeweils ohne den Partner auf Bühnen erleben dürfen. Jetzt gibt es Colosseum und Paraphernalia nicht mehr. SEHR; SEHR SCHADE!

Sadly, I only discovered Jon's talent after reading about him in a Modern Drummer issue after his death. Since then, I've been discovering his great music. He is in the pantheon of drummers associated with prog rock and jazz fusion.

It was my dream since 16 years old to see him perform live, hoping he would play in some jazz festival here in south america. I stealed (and still do) so many of his great chops that i can't even keep count. Praise to that great musician, he shall live forever in gems he left us to listen.

So sad. I am in tears watching this. I didn't even know she was ill. As a saxophonist I met her many years ago when I was the principal saxophonist with the Band Of The Scots Guards and we met in London. I will never forget how encouraging and lovely she was. I will never forget her wonderful music either. I also feel anger that this insidious disease could take such a wonderful human being and such a wonderful musician and rob us of so much. RIP Barbara.xxxxxx
