I’m here after seeing you on 24 hours in A&E I have an absolute love for the Dave Matthews’s band who have a real modern jazz influence in there style of music. And there old saxophone player LeRoi Moore was an absolute talent. Your mum was a fantastic player. I would love to meet her and chat to her about the music. 👌🏻 I hope she’s doing well. If you could please show her some live music of the Dave Mathews band your mum would appreciate

I didn't realise that Barbara had left us. I saw Jon with Coliseum in 1971 and Barbara and Jon in a jazz club in the early 90's. Great evenings that I will always remember. RIP Jon and Barbara.

I'm a little older boy of sixty-two (in a few days) from Berlin and I'm a music listener since my childhood days and over the years you can believe me it was a bunch of music but to my shame I have to admit that I never heard of Barbara Thompson. These days I remembered Manfred Mann's Earth Band after a longer time and had a listen to them here at YT. On their album "The Roaring Silence" I was suddenly very surprised about a sax solo at the end of the title "Singing The Dolphin Through". Instantly I searched who was playing this and so I landed here. What an impressive woman and saxophon player! For me particular interesting and very inspiring because I learn to play sax (a + s) myself these days. Great music at all! Fits perfect in the spectrum of my musical liking. The last bars I like most. You've got a new fan. In those moments I always think about all the wonderful music around the world I will never hear because, well, you can't listen to all. But I'm always happy to discover new (at least for me) music just like yours.

Takes me back to The Bull's Head in Barnes. Beautiful. What a way to spend an evening in '79 - that bar with the best music and the best barman in the world. And the best art-deco carpet to boot. Anyone remember? Ahh...

Close to the Edge, one of my favorites of Paraphernalia, presented here in a new fantastic version. Thanks for posting it here, actually again with violin, great! We spoke about 15 years ago on Potsdamer Straße in Berlin in front of Quartier Latin after your concert. Hi Jon, best wishes from Berlin, this is Lutz.

If the rest of the DVD is even close to this - which I'm sure it is - then it is something we should all purchase in order to support these great - and dedicated - players. I notice it's available via Jon's website. A search for Temple Music should get you there (this YT page will not accept website addresses). I see there is also a double cd. And Jon's bio, 'Playing the Band' (excellent reading), plus other things.

Great stuff!! Saw Paraphernalia at the half moon putney in the late 70's, amazin' night. Anyone know what happened to colin dudman (sp?) and Dill Katz, one of the best bass players the uk has produced IMHO.
