Is it $140 for 1 bedroom and $175 for 2 bedrooms?
@SouthPaths10 сағат бұрын
No no..it a 2 bedroom..the price is floating as the land lord has not finalized the price at 8000 or 10000.

As of this moment, it is still available. I believe the rent is 8000 php per month with a 1 yr lease. There may be a security deposit identical to the rental price required also. There is a second suite identical to ours also available as of Feb 01 for 6000 php.

Things change & the pace of change has increased over the past 20 years. There are plenty of good careers out there in North America you just have to get into one & be willing to change along the way. I've been in yhe Philippines on & off for 33 years & the last 5 years for 6 months per year & I will say this. The life style & comfort level in North America is way above that in the Philippines. Canada just gets that pesky winter season. ...& that's just my opinion!

Yes, I have to agree. Canada is a beautiful country! It's just a little to Arctic for me these days. I'm tired of that winter thing. I love the Philippines for its beauty. As a photographer, it's simply a goldmine for my hobby.

What I 'think' is - it's a good bit more than what I remember you paid for yours (!) which I seem to remember was $90 USD / mo. ? Just not that long ago ? Your budget video I believe was 6 months ago ? --- Not sure what 8000 to 10000 'means' ? 8K is $135.58..... much more than $90. -- 10K is $169.47..... Not the bargain originally thought it was - when you add all the other expenses - elec. - internet - water - propane gas..... ? ---- There are numerous $80 apartments in Trace Martires many US expats have obtained & '''refurbished''' - on long term leases . Here's one example: Steve has been there for 7 years & pays his rent a year in advance. An hour S of Manila Airport. Public transportation easily everywhere & to Manila + Dasmarinas & Immigration 20 minutes away (!) - for easy renewals. A frugal - thrifty alternative (also) for retired expats who like to travel a lot & have a "home base" for very affordable comfort ? 🤔 kzbin.info/www/bejne/bGnQXnaue6iSlc0si=GJzNC-qnl0UZ8ZoA

I am on the 19th floor of a condo building in Quezon City. Yesterday I had a pigeon fly in through the open deck doors.2 nights ago I get up at 4am to do a bathroom run and I turn on the light and on the floor beside the toilet was a creature that I can only describe as a monster. This cockroach was so big I thought twice before attempting to dispose of it. Needless to say, I never slept again that night. It is very important to have everything sealed up tight in this country. That's a ''podiatrist'' Nelson. A friend of mine's older brother became one and had an amazing life ! --- Lot of BS in this 'episode' ? Many young College graduates 'now' with no good paying job opportunities ! Will get worse with few occupations - if any in some cases - providing good enough incomes to keep up with all this inflation (?) - impossible. GREED has reached levels I never imagined. > Covid appears to have started a progressive disintegration of our civilized societies in many countries. Shortages obviously contributing to perhaps sparking these atrocious price increases.... but - often for things that are not even in short supply ! --- A minimalist life with peace and contentment appears to be all there is for many to realistically go after ? Life in the 'fast lane' - and on the treadmill - has little appeal anymore ! --- Even the young people in China now have gone ''on strike" and have adopted the phrase - " let it rot " ? Many highly educated and no jobs ! --- In our world a frugal thrifty life seemingly has the most to offer many ordinary people - as I see it ? Learning to want less is perhaps the secret to happiness and contentment ? - - - Enjoy your time there Nelson - as much as possible (!) - and don't burden yourself with the need for - '''too much''' - content !!! 😀
@SouthPaths5 күн бұрын
It's a house of cards, I suspect. Like a ponzi...if they don't keep expanding it...it collapses. So....inflation is required and as we just had a decade of party party party low low low interest rates....we have to pay. I'm betting it's as simple as that. The rich...get richer... and the rest get cake and circus acts.
