I'm typing this message from western New York and can't wait to see my wife and step daughter again! Hope you can go back soon as well!👋🤓👍

Great vlog. I worked in Manila and met my wife there. She took me to her home in the province where we got married. She wanted to experience Canada so she moved here after her PR was approved. Long story short ... we are planning our exit back to live in the province for good. Lots to do here to wind up and set up retirement but 12 months out is target. One life ... be happy. Will be starting channel to share all the hoops to jump through to set up pension pmts, departure tax ... urghhh ... , reduce withholding tax on pension benefits steps, health care decisions, banking plan, housing, travel, and kareoke 🎉 Keep well and hope to see more videos soon and maybe share your next steps to permanent move also.

Well my situation is work summers in Canada and spend Winters in the Philippines until my 65th birthday then I can stay there permanently on my pension. "I never want to live in Canada again after being in the Philippines" - this and many other things you share in this video I very much relate to. I have a very good life living in the Midwest USA and yet the first time I was in the Philippines I had such a sense of peace and freedom... it honestly seemed like freedom was in the very air itself... it shocked me. Wrestled with it for a time. When I returned the second time the same thing. And the times after the same thing. There is a whole different kind of freedom over there... what I would call REAL FREEDOM that we actually don't even know anymore in the western world or at least not in the USA. I also think the same things you do about all of these guys going over and thinking they are some kind of king or something... nothing is up to their lofty standards. They can't seem to see any good in anything so they just complain about everything from the dogs and roosters to the lack of restrictive laws (I actually have heard some complain about exactly what you described... a family all loaded onto one scooter... complaining "there must not be any laws in the Philippines... actually wanted them to be pulled over and fined) and so forth. Just cry and bitch & complain continually. Keep that crap back in the USA (and other western countries). When I see that over there I honestly smile every time because that is FREEDOM and I love seeing FREEDOM. Anyway, definitely agree with you on so many things. I think exactly the same... "instead of constantly complaining why don't you do something to help?" I want to be a part of the community where I live. I want to make it at least a bit better for my being there. Great video. Keep em coming!

@@SouthPaths If there’s small age gap it may be a different story but you’ll probably need to deal with the finances of step children and step grandchildren. There seems to be something about money in Philippine culture which doesn’t go away even when they live abroad. I dated a Filipina a while ago (or more accurately she turned it into a date) in the land of Diversity, Inclusion, Equity. When it comes to pay the bill don’t expect any “equity” or equality if you are out with a Filipina.
