Human beings will always find something to bitch about. If the maps were completely filled out, there would be something else to bitch and moan over. Nothing is perfect, but for what it is and does, what application is better than DCS, its planes, helicopters, and maps?

I still wanna start playing f18 buy hardware that is more immersive than the t1600tm i have the carrier, wanna use on flanker the red kod fully clickable mod, play with tdcs ppl and start learning from the tucano and t45... But listening to this and other things in past year worries me... I also hope STS Team speak does work as it s part of the immersion.

I used to babble and complain like you back in the days (more than 10 years ago). This is not an AAA product, the product being a shooter. It's a complex, way more complex product than a AAA title, with a way lesser cashflow and lower staff. Have THAT in mind before you rant like a spoiled entitled teenager. Try it out. Considering how much money I've put into that game, plus the cost to be able to run it and play it with a HOTAS.... That is genuinely a pretty significant cost. It's just dumb how they basically aren't even holding up their end of the deal on a ton of things. Man I want to enjoy your product, and I used to... But you can't keep giving people unfinished and/or broken things for full price. And you also have to add things to the core game other than just graphical and aesthetic things. Dude, a dynamic campaign would be awesome for starters.. Also better AI, general game stability... Can you fix VR please so that we don't have to spend an hour just messing with settings to get the game to run smoothly??

DCS is good if you like to make cinematics. As far as using the simulation, it leaves a lot to be desired. The EA model is abhorrent.

A really big Peeve of mine with DCS are the training missions,, 1- missing some weapons that are needed to learn. 2- slow: let us hit space bar to move along. 3-some training missions broken, some were fixed. More to come as far as what is needed!

I disagree, I have been enjoying ED and DCS since their inception. I love DCS and will support them in their growth. Sure they have some items to work out; but if you notice the trends they are indeed working on them. I'm seeing more campaigns now than ever before which was none, the new maps are amazing and are needed for diverse campaigns. I know I never want to play on the caucuses map over and over. They have improved immensely in just the last 5 years! There is much more positive than negative with DCS! Issue with the complaints on finishing modules or fixing items aren't as easy as people think they are as they require time and money to maintain and fix modules. Also, some modules are limited based on the block and the other related systems. Some of the systems are linked to other modules so adjusting code for one may impact all other modules that use a system or weapon. There are real world pilots including myself giving feedback on how systems should work in the real aircraft; but then they need to figure out how to make it happen... No easy feat... Honestly shocked DCS isn't charging monthly fees to help them bring in help.

About time the community gets together on this, I have yet to buy any modules cuz all the ones im interested in are still "Early Access" so I just create new accounts to paly the trails for 2 weeks since they want to release unfinished product, get out of here with this early access BS. Finish a product, then release the product, you don't buy a house half built with no roof and move into it!

i know and undertand your point, but the fact is that if they do like this mean that they are making money which is the focus of the company in order to pay salary and so on. It a marketing strategy that unfortunately work dispite che bad vibes sent to the community. It's frustrating having probelm with the f16 today in almost 2025, it a module made maybe 4 years ago?, they work also for military and government, maybe we are not their core business anymore

Had enough of what, exactly? It's called a *PRE* purchase. Not "MUST purchase. Just don't buy it until something is called COMPLETE. There, problem solved. Others who understand opportunity cost will choose to purchase it. No one is forcing anyone.

I have never heard a phrase like gaslighting that is so overused yet at the same time most people who say it don't even understand what the hell it means. People literally call just about anything gaslighting at this point. It's extremely irritating.

Real military pilots like me can not stand DCS and the community. I've tried multiple times to get involved by the mulitplayer is such a joke that it just isn't worth it. The world has moved onto multiplayer games and the fact that they have a hardon for single player stuff will be their demise. There needs to be a massive open world persistent map and they need to combine it with other games that focus on ground and sea war.

I have like 7-8 "Modules/Bugdules" and i am not buying another one until they get their act together. maybe like 30% of my modules are "complete", the rest never got completed or is stuck in a infinite beta version. i almost feel scammed and havent touch the game for many many months now.

This is all desperation on EDs part. They're going broke. This business of pre-purchasing digital products smacks of Star Citizens business model of take and never give or give garbage, that being said though, in 2019/20 I dropped a forum post about the "small additional fee" for updates to the existing "Accurate and complete" Ka-50 models. I was posting because they sell the models as complete and then ask for money to complete the completed module?! I got smacked by the community who felt there was nothing wrong with ED selling incomplete or buggy products and asking for players to buy the fixes later, "They need to make money after all", so you can't say ED isn't listening to the community and giving them what they want.

Dcs should going downhill soon...the ed whatever doesnt give a damn about anything fan wants...support for linux has been ignore for the most and even on windows this never endindg trick of releasing unfinished crap..has ppl really angry....hope some other company or devs gather up together and make some flight simulator thats worth the effort...because this one has become a trash of a simulator

Spot on imo. Haven't played DCS for weeks for various reasons. But one huge one is, the buggy nature of it. Two years ago I would have jumped on the new map without hesitation. Now? Not so much. But I disagree with you on the last bit. One thing ED keeps saying and I do believe them is, that the vast majority of people aren't touching multiplayer. I'm one of them. It must have been well over a year since I pushed that button. And when in single player I mostly fly Kola these days. So I don't think those usage numbers for maps are representative. Unfortunatley only ED has the real ones. Anyway, with all the problems DCS has I consider new maps to be a minor one and they need to get on fixing things

Oh trust me I share your frustration. I’ve been trying to get my VVR controllers to work and they had six months to fix this. This is ridiculous and it needs to be fixed now. How the hell can you sit there and let a bug like that go on for so long? It’s like I get it. You wanna have new content and bring out new DLC and new maps but if you don’t fix the basic fundamentals of the game, you can’t even play it!!

If you've flown to Sea King in real life. Then you'll know that the larger, the more forgiving it is. The 46 Sea Knight then the 47 that you're Sim flying. Navy and Marines we call it the bus not the hook. But nevertheless that is not as it should be. It has an auto throttle. Also, it has filters for the turbines. That will be your MC and I haven't bought it with it anymore cuz they haven't tended to that issue yet. Since Kuwait and Persian Gulf the synch gear was getting too much sand inside of the transmission. But for some reason the filters get clogged up even if you're not in the desert. You can open and close them and you can mistake vrs for a loss of power when the engine is not pushing enough power. Due to the MC. ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ Also PS, I tried to float it in the lake and the ocean and as soon as it touches water it sinks and that is not how a 46 or 47 works. The big bulge around both sides is the jp5 and it's supposed to float as you know. That's why the Sea King has the front end that looks like the bow of a ship. I'm not truly happy with it yet. When they fix the MC consistent failures and I've already contacted them that those helos are designed to float but not in a shutdown, but they're designed to take water in the rear for Black ops. Basically it's supposed to be very stable and I'm sure if you seen enough of them in the ocean you can land and cruise along in the water. It's very stable in the water just as the Sea King as and other large Helos.
