Also make sure you make a backup of that Mission, so if anything happens to your DCS like having to reinstall it or Windows. You can just put the mission back in the folder and have all of your loadouts back. You can place every plane down you own in that mission and do this, so you only have the one mission that needs to be saved.

flew for 3 years without knowing this glad someone recently is covering it lota people dont know this and is very handy for say a generic A-A or SEAD/DEAD loadout ! or even just training loadouts

Always surprised when I see streams that load every station manually. Especially for a bomb truck like the A10!

I am pretty sure that the loadouts are also tied to the Role. In your example, the F/A-18 is set as a CAP role in the mission editor. You then need to be in a mission that has the F/A-18 avaiailbe in a CAP role to see the custom loadout you made. If the role for the Hornet was CAS for example, you would not see it. You would need to make a custom loadout in the editor for the CAS role to see it. This is from memory, but I believe to be correct.

This applies to the AI roles yes, although player roles/loads, can always override.

Are you sure about this?........ After saving it never saved it for anything else but the mission. I get the same options for loadouts as usual. Doesn't work at all.

Yes it works, but thinking on this, consider the roles as well, for example CAS Vs CAP. If you create a load out for a CAS mission and save it, but load into a multiplayer server, and the mission editor over there set all the "playable" aircraft to CAP, then you might not see your load out. Is easy to get around this, just create a CAP load out with bombs, or a CAS load out with AMRAAMS (whichever way round the problem is).
