I think the amount of lumbering involved, if you play vanilla survival often crushes peoples dreams. The ground floor alone in this build is 312 wood; just short of using 16 beech trees. For the fecking ground floor.

It's amazing what some of you guys can do in these games. I can design all day at work and create some awesome designs for residential and commercial. But when it comes to designing in-game. It's as if all of my creative juices have been expelled. And I'm left designing these awkward spaces. I'm honestly jealous, and I design houses for a living.

building like a viking sure is hard :(
@MrDarvis693 жыл бұрын
this might seem weird but I think this might be because the sizes are off in Valheim (as well as a lot of games). The 1m beams look like they are actually only a foot long compared to your viking. Lots of other things are oddly sized in the game. The point is that it complete destroys your sense of scale and size in relation to a human. That has to be a basic principal in designing spaces I would think. With that mental foundation compromised it seems logical that any spaces created with that mindset would be awkward.

very nice build! simplistic in design but elegant just the same! the attention to etail is what always makes your builds worth watching. Also superb video editing. Its VERY refreshing to have nice, moderate volumed and themed musc instead of some asshat yakking and talking or obnoxious bollywood music at extreme volumes. I really enjoy the professionalism in your builds and editing skills! Keep up the work. Would LOVE to see you take on a classic recreation of an famous location either in movies or IRL. Something like Winterfel or the iron islands from GOT or IRL like Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Reims

This build was damn impressive. The interior and decoration all around were even more impressive. I sheer to think it took longer to do the decoration than it took to actually build the house altogether. Sometimes when I'm watching these builds, I'm considering things I see for decorating ideas because it helps to actually see things to inspire the mind. Considering I just build a mega open-air pyramid I need all the decorative ideas in the world to decorate the place and the floors. So watching and rewatching some of these videos also helps to inspire idea decorating. I would like to see more Stone buildings for Castles and Fortresses. You've done quite many woods builds at this point.

I was like your build doesn't seem to complex i could probably do that, then it goes to the finished fleshed out furnished part and im like, i feel like i missed seeing 90% of the build. Your ability to flesh out the inside of your builds is great. It was as if the build video of the frame floor and roof was only the synopsis, then the showcase hit and I got the whole story. The music at the showcase was perfect as well.
@vetlive36693 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your nice comment, the furnishing is skipped because it actually takes much longer than building the building. We want players to at least see how we made the building then they can furnish how they see fit. We do try to include as much of the interior as possible in the showcase to let people pause and copy we hope

I started making this day 14 and day 30 just dawned. I have the main 12*12 built and the roof framed. Floor is down, walls are up, about to start the roof detailing and back. I'm harvesting mats as I go and had to beat eikthyr and a couple of trolls so it's honestly not a terrible pace to build at. Also gives me goals because I am a massive scaredy cat and don't like crypts and boss fights so 😅
