Is 2015 F type R V8 still affected by timing chain issue? Or it has been solved? Thanks.

For those coming to this video super late like I am, the 1->2 gear shift delay is due to the Clutch Delay Valve. Plenty of threads on it -- Many owners choose to delete this.

Finally, an objective and thorough review of the N55 engine. As a 2014 M135i owner (a car which also features the N55 engine) I completely agree with your review. Also, props for keeping your car looking that good.

Wow so I’m getting one of these for my oil changes on my F Pace and I wanted to see some reviews for it. It’s crazy seeing one of your videos from 4 years ago! I’ve been following your channel for about that time and to see how you started and where you are now is crazy! Hope you come back and share some of your track videos.

Really enjoyed this video, appreciate the down to earth conversation of the video. I wish you had done some quick overviews of under the hood, trunk, back seats etc. Just an overview of the overall of the vehicle.

If you own a car that you have to warm the engine for 30min before go for a ride, why don’t you use block heater?

I live in southern California therefore the temp never drops very low. I was running 5w-40 Motul and if it sat for a week I would get that dreaded tick on bank 1 (driver side) only until the engine warmed up. Which I would intentionally go warm up as quick as possible. That ticking is doing damage; you should not ignore it. I switched to 0w-40 Mobil1, problem solved. The lifters are filling up faster at this ambient temp. "I think" However, If you are still ticking after the engine/oil is at operating running temp, then you have a serious problem. I'm not one for additives, but to the OP's advice, I would at least try before spending thousands or potentially destroying your engine. My 2 cents

Did you have to drop the car down or put weight on the lca bushing before torquing down the main bolt or was it ok to torque in the air?

Had a Miata, Have an n55 m2. Both equally fun but the m2 is more exhilarating. Yes, shifting is easier on the Miata and say what you want about the rev matching: just get a kick out of it.

Silly question here... I understand the ECU job, but why the crank pulley? What does it do powerwise? Is it just so that it is stronger and can deal with the extra power?
@skrrtgarage39222 ай бұрын
Superchargers spin up air and compress it into the engine. The more air the more power. A smaller pulley allows for more revolutions/more air being compressed, which adds more power.

@@skrrtgarage3922 DOH! Silly me... That was so obvious! lol. I didn't notice the difference in size (diameter). We all have our stupid moments in life and this one was one of them for me... Thanks for your answer bro. Really appreciated. Did you have to change your belt too or if only an adjustement with the tension thingy (sorry for my english) was sufficiant? IF you have the link where you bought it, that'd be great.
