Bro, life saver!!! Really appreciate your video! My 2012 Lexus IS F is going through this! My front tires got so worn out from within. I didn’t even know, until I took it to a tire shop for a nail issue. Turns out the front tires are worn out to point of the wire showing with some minor holes! I’m most definitely upgrading my bushings! Because pilot sport 4s tires are not cheap 😭

Thank you for starting with the review first then the DYI. I often watch videos by jumping to the opinion then going back to the install.

I’ve had the same exact question about the m3 control arm up grade on my e90. It’s highly recommended but nobody talks about how it feels. It probably very similar to this upgrade

It’s always funny when tons of people recommend things but don’t talk about why lol. I could see that being a sweet upgrade

Good to know 👍 I'll probably be doing this bushing upgrade on our '02 Lexus LS 430 but the thing is that I hear about this bushing getting replaced but I hardly ever hear anyone mention the other smaller bushing on the control arm. Is this because the other bushing doesn't wear out as fast or that it doesn't affect handling as much or ???? What am I missing?

My 15 IS 350 has drive by wire. I wonder how this correlates concerning corner feedback. I'll be in touch.

So you don’t need to torque these underload I’m assuming I have a 13 ISF I’m thinking about getting these for thanks for the video man.

I have a Lexus 2is. 2008 IS250. I want to change to these because the ones that come with the car kinda suck. Plus these prevent the tire wear on the inner edge of the front tires from occurring.

Hi! Nice video. Question, after installing the new bushing need specific alignment or jut “0”? Some people said need 0,8+ or something like that. Just want to make sure. Thank you!

Does the lower control arm need to have load before tightening the LCA bushing bolt?

Do you getting any noise from them? Especially in the cold. Thinking about going this route, but I've had poly in other vehicles and they were stupid noisy . Got old real quick.
@skrrtgarage3922
@skrrtgarage3922 2 жыл бұрын
No noise at all! This is honestly the best performance modification I’ve done to the car. I used A TON of the grease that came with them to prevent noise.

Nice ISF color. I have a complete figs and rr racing after market parts in my F. I wish someday you can compare the driving dynamics of Isf and F type R in the circuit track not drag racing lol
@skrrtgarage3922
@skrrtgarage3922 2 жыл бұрын
I can for sure, they are wildly different. The f type turns in faster and rotates under throttle a lot more compared to the isf. The isf is more neutral and heavier but has a bit more balance than the f type. The f type is much more dangerous, crazy amount of power and can easily break the tires loose at 60+mph on track.

I installed the RR racing lca bushings and I haven’t noticed a difference. Have you thought about chassis braces from ultra racing?
@skrrtgarage3922
@skrrtgarage3922 2 жыл бұрын
Hmm, that interesting. I noticed pretty immediately in my case, but that could be because mine were shot. If I track my car I will look into the chassis bracing for sure

Think a shop can push out the bushings and but figgs bushing in ? The bushings by itself are way cheaper than with the housing
@skrrtgarage3922
@skrrtgarage3922 2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can, I’ve done it before. It’s kind of a pain and shop will want $40-60 to do it

I went this route only bought the bushings some shops want to scam because they see you show up in a lexus other ones won't do it because they say the housing is aluminum and it can bend. I contacted figs they said it's an easy bushing popout. Long story short found a shop that is charging me $200 with the installation which is a good deal to me since figs told me it would be like $160 if I send them back to order them with the housing.

Good video. Did you torque the nut/bolts while the car wheels were on the ground or while the car is jacked up?
@skrrtgarage3922
@skrrtgarage3922 Жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks! Both, I use an impact to get the wheels on in the air and then use a torque wrench when the vehicle is back on the ground.

@@skrrtgarage3922 Thank you very much for your reply; if you torque when the wheels are on the floor, how can you access the nut/bolts with the this low clearance from ground?

I sat the car down on ramps and turned the wheels left and right a few times. Then finalized

How often are these supposed to be re-greased?
@johnnyhohenzollern165

Hi buddy, does it required to re-apply grease every 6-12 months? I heard all poly bushings do that.

In the 12 months I had my car, it wasn’t necessary. BUT, you have to put a ton on when you first install them

Hmm, you may just need an alignment. This mod is to help prevent inside tire wear on the inside of the tire
