Hey Scott. Watching the build , noticing some different assembly techniques. You got that organic saber saw cutting down! LOL! Is this before your little bandsaw acquisition? Inspirational.

In the majority of my videos I mainly use a jigsaw. I started using the bandsaw a few years ago and doing quite a bit of detail cutting with it. Although I have used scroll saws many years ago (pre-youtube videos) it's only over the 3 years or so that I've gotten back into using them. Started out with pinned blades but now prefer pinless blades for much more intricate cuts.

In the vast majority of my past videos I have rarely ever showed the second backer board being attached. The reason is I wanted to use the time to show other things and felt that showing the second backer board installation was repetitive. 95% of all my medium to larger size wood art pieces have a second backer board so it's a very important step for making them stay flat and not bow & survive being moved around over the years without damage. One thin backer board probably wouldn't survive being moved around much and could eventually get damaged or break (especially if handled carelessly). Moving forward I should show the second backer board installation here and there since it's an important step.
