I worked as a Professional Organizer: 1. Earlier on in this video/series you mentioned holding on to decorative items in case someone needed something. LOL. NO! 😂 Don’t ever do that, it’s not worth the clutter that you’re constantly having to manage/reorganize for that one hypothetical moment of serotonin satisfaction. Find other ways to scratch that people pleasing itch that don’t involve storing extra stuff. 2. You mentioned maybe not taking stuff from parents/ In-Laws anymore. As long as I have permission to donate every single item immediately, then I take it off their hands (and immediately rehome it). I have worked on too many house clear-outs for elders downsizing that were shocking with how much stuff they had. Decluttering is addictive, and gets much easier for older people to see what they have if they can get rid of the stuff they know they don’t want. Trust me, you WANT them in the downsizing mindset. It’s a lot easier for everyone involved if you help them chip away at it. (Try to encourage them to organize/ get rid of old papers/bills they don’t need because that’s one of the slowest, most painful jobs in a clear-out making sure important papers aren’t mixed in.)

Lol I have 2 grown boys and 3 grandsons ages 16 16 and 12 omg as soon as they leave I have to totally clean bathroom cause they never hit inside toilet

By taking things out of one room and leaving them there for 24 hours then see what you might want to put back it's double handling so as you are cleaning each room and you see something you believe must go then grab a tote and place it in there for taking to the the thrift shop

I have no cushions rugs or blankets that takes a lot of clutter out.

I can't clear one room I have no room to put it in😅

Lynn do you really like the shark carpet cleaner. I got the most recent model i found i used way to much of the cleaner fluid than needed because it automatically used it when you go forward. I would rather a trigger to control the amout of fluid

My Pet Peed, it is spendy but they all are. You spray it well and forget it. Once it drys stain and odor are gone.
