So a more recent update added a teleporting mechanic involving villagers, their happiness, and different biomes for their homes. Try out the pylons sold by happy merchants and try making more homes for villagers :D

In the dungeon if you look at the books on the shelves one of the blue books is a magic book you can use shoot bouncing piercing water balls

Now that auto fire is in, you no longer need to spam click, and click on Spiffo, and put that guy in your equipment slots. Check out the jungle! (opposite side of the snow biome) Build more house - at least 3 more Ask the guide (Steve) about crafting and show him your swords.

later in pre hardmode (chapter 1) where you are currently in, you should eventually dig down to hell to get some better gear, and if you throw a guide voodoo doll (dropped by some demons) in lava, you summon a boss that unlocks hardmode (chapter 2)

if you see a random goblin deep down in a cave he sells the 2 mose important items in teh game. the tinkerers workshop which lets you be able to craft things you 100% need in the future and the rocket boots. if you have hermes boots you can use teh tinkerers workshop to make specture boots (flight+super speed)

so i'm gonna answer some questions you made in the video -yes, the eyeball you killed is enough for a dryad to move in. -shadow chests are purple chests you can find in hell, one key can open all of them. -you don't have iron, but you have lead, some terraria worlds have iron, others have lead but they're the same thing. -the lanterns appear in the night sky whenever you beat a boss or an event. there's also some additional stuff you should know -you can break crimson hearts with a hammer too -there's a mechanic in the game called happiness, and it affects the prices of NPCs' items. basically some npcs like to live in certain biomes near certain people. the biome they like is shown on the background in their bestiary entry, to know which npcs they like just click on the Happiness option and if they're near someone they like (or dislike), they will tell you. -when npcs are happy enough, they will sell a Pylon, which is basically a cheap teleporter. -now that you've defeated the goblin army, you can find a bound goblin in the caves (you've probably found him already since you said you'd look for iron offscreen), he sells a crafting station used to make REALLY GOOD items, asides from that he also sells boots that make you fly and you can mix them with the hermes boots to run and fly.

:D The Mechanic's teleporters are one option for fast travel, yes, but as you noticed, they're also a huge pain to set up. An easier option involves building little villages in different biomes and making NPCs happy. (The game doesn't explain happiness very well, but the Mechanic likes to live in the snow, and she wants to be neighbors with an NPC who should appear soon - arrange those and she'll sell you something very useful.) The weird-looking chests in the dungeon that you can't unlock all contain very useful things, but you won't be able to unlock them for a *long* while, so just mark down where they are for now. And you don't need bombs to break the hearts once you've mined your way to them, you can just hit them with a pickaxe! (You can also make sticky bombs by adding gel to them, which makes controlled demolitions easier.) The dungeon is usually larger than that in our experience, maybe something is still hidden? Crumbly blocks show up bright red if you drink a Dangersense potion, so you can use that to check.
