Idiot Explores Terraria's Depths For the First Time | Blind Playthrough Part 2

Hi again! Today I am returning to Terraria to attempt to venture to the center of the earth, for some reason. I actually accomplished a lot in this video: I figured out how to use a workbench, smelted some ore, made some friends, realized that my crippling fear of intimacy is actually a product of low self esteem compounded by the tragic loss of my minecraft husband Frollo leading to an extremely avoidant personality hidden under layers of thinly veiled dark humor. I also built a house! :)
disclaimer: i recorded this video a little bit after the first one, so i promise i'm not ignoring your guys advice or anything, i just hadn't posted that video yet! thank you so much for all your help, though, i'll definitely use it in the next part, hehe. also i got a new mic!! can't wait to try it out and maybe not sound like i'm recording from inside a tin house, sorry

When you’re crafting (smelting included), just be near the crafting station with your inventory/crafting menu open. The recipes just appear.

You'll want to buy a book from a furry, when she eventually moves in. Also dig up sand to make glass to make a terrarium, then you can put cute animals in them and preserve them forever!

You can find items to earn basic game mechanics like swimming, double jumping, flying, wall jumping, running, and other cool stuff

one thing you should do is break gravestones, if there's too many of them close to eachother it's gonna become a graveyard, and you won't want to live in one of these.

loving this playthrough! as a person playing for almost 8years i"ve always "taught" this game to people and spent many hours figuring out and a lot of trail and error so its cool seing a fresh perspective on how to start playing terraria without someone telling you what do. Anyways i see you having great success with youtube adn good luck! ps maybe use a newbie guide or look through the wiki after watching a video and removes the "im stuck type of gameplay" but you can go blind if thats your type of style. might take more time tho!

Thank you so much!!! But yeah it's definitely hard to find a balance between what I should look up and what I should probably figure out on my own. I actually did look up a guide before this video, but I think it was a guide that kinda assumed you already knew the basics, so it just made me more confused lol. Everyone's advice in the comments has helped a lot though, and it's vague enough to where I don't feel spoiled or anything like that. Because of that, I have a pretty solid footing next episode, even though I still barely know whats going on lmao. I just hope I don't annoy people by bumbling around and finding stuff out as I go because that's my favorite way to play games 😅

Terraria has a big learning curve but if you stick with it, its well worth it once you get the hang of it. also wooden armor and swords are good to start with.

Was checking back daily to see when you will upload. Loved the Naruto Grief and Sorrow track playing as you reunite with Scott. A few more quick tips. 1. Make a couple hundred platforms out of wood and always carry them with you. They're the best tool to climb and descend as you can place them under you and go through them by pressing down. They also make for great bridges. 2. If you're digging straight down or any other direction you can press control once to enable the game to automaticaly select tiles to mine. So press control once, then hold shift and left click towards something and this way you dont have to manualy select which block to mine. 3. Your number 1 goal is exploring underground. You're looking for chests, crystal hearts (they increase your max life), and ore. 4. Whenever you find a chest empty it and mine it up and bring it to your base. You can store your items in chests. You can even label them to know what is in every chest by hovering over it. 5. This one is just for fun but you can change your cursors color in the interface menu in case you don't like red.
