And how pentatonic scales or any scales helps us with playing solos. For example: I am playing a melody of a random song and between the gap of melody how we can add scales to sound more cool?

QUESTION: How do you know Happy Birthday is a 1,4,5 song??

I'm a music teacher and I really wish salesmen would stop selling classical style guitars to young students. The neck is simply too wide for small hands. Unless the student wants to learn classical guitar, it's better to go with a 1/2 or 3/4 size steel string.

I'm a beginner and I reflexively bend my thumb as shown at 0:43. It's a super tough habit for me to break.

I often use index finger at a angle over the 3 strings , bring middle finger on top for extra pressure sometimes

i have been playing guitar now for a few years and i have always preferred to play acoustic with my fingers instead of a pick. the sound was too loud and shakey with a pick. 2 minutes in and I finally get it! Thank you sir

My mahogany top dehydrated and a split is opening up the center line. What oil should I have used to care for the mahogany. I am hydrating the guitar now but I would like to find some wood care product for it.

Hi Thomas, thank you for a great video. As a beginner is there a right way and wrong way to hold a guitar. I have sausage fingers and find it much easier to hold the neck facing upwards, any thoughts. Thanks 😊

You had index barring one string and then when you showed how it sounded you moved it down… why show how to bar in the wrong spot first and then move to the actual chord? Makes for a little guesswork when trying to copy you… but I’ll keep watching
