CS used to be such a respectable and unique company. They kinda lost me when they stopped making their products in Japan and then they lost me entirely after they sold out to lousy gsm outdoors. Lyn Thompson is a sell out, his passion was never for the customers or even the brand he had something so great in his hands and he just wasted it. A wise man would have passed it on to a deserving person.

I started collecting knives back in '2021. I bought a Counterpoint but didn't like it so I gave it to a friend. I haven't looked at any Cold Steels since then. Just last month (Oct. 2024), I decided to try a Recon 1 tanto. I liked it so much I followed that up with a spear point. I'm thinking of getting the clip point next but I'm considering getting the large Voyager clip point instead since I already have two Recon 1s. I'm also considering the SR1 Lite since it's so inexpensive. I also like the Rajah 3.

ai ordered from Ontario knives it showed the belt clip attachment assemblybin the pictures. when O ordered it did not come with it. I contacted the company who dlsaid the picture was wrong. They never gave me the belt clip and they never took down the picture. Highly disappointed with the company. I can not carry on my belt and I had to purchase an aftermarket molle sheath and carry on my vest where I don't like carrying

Your sound is very tinny and has a nasty hum which is very distracting. Get a good lav mic and your sound will be much better. Good review, although you use the word 'nice' way too much.

Made in 2011 but video/sound seems more like 1911....ITS a great knife though ,I'm on my third one ( I keep giving them away when I get drunk) and it's one of my favorite knives and I'm a major Beckerhead....Love Esee's and Condor's etc. but this one is fun to play with on the reg....Buy it !!

*This knife sheath has one major problem. The rivets for the belt holder inside scratch the guard when inserting the knife into the sheath. The belt should be sewn on, not riveted!*

I have several Bear & Son pocket folding knives that are second to none when it comes to quality. I have always wanted a Bowie Knife, but never could find one that I liked, but the instant I saw the Bear & Son 14 3/8" Damascus Bowie I ordered it immanently. I will also be ordering the 12" Damascus Bowie shortly. Nice video, thanks.

I bought one from bass pro and haven’t had a good experience. The blade came extremely dirty and trying to get fingerprints on they almost seem permanent and the Damascus already lost its black definition after oiling and cleaning it twice

Hi Bob. I would think the knife is great, but the sheath is poor?? At least with the ka bar kecker bk2, the same type of glass reinforced nylon dulls the blade when removing and placing back in. Hope you are keeping well.

Great review of the features. Made in the USA and it’s hefty. Would have been nice to see the compartment here. The 4 holes also give you the option of attaching a pole/stick to make a spear. G10 grips, sheath, 1/4 steel, made in the USA and still just 200 bucks is a deal in my book. Hogue makes good stuff.

I bought a new one and its fantastic, unfortunately i returned it due to a couple issues and received a worse ,used knife ,im waiting on my refund and meantime i found replicas that are very good for a fraction of the price, but i only collect real knives and hope to buy another soon ,it was the finest large blade knife ive ever owned! Seemed indestructible

Was looking at one in a Pawn shop few days back. Looking closely at the un-used blade. I found a spot on the blade steel about half size of a pencil eraser diameter that was shiny without the Damascus appearance. Seemed a bit odd so I passed on thinking about making an offer. Seems like a great Company. I would be more inclined towards one of their standard Blade Bowies

I've carried the smaller Double Cross for many years, handiest and best knife ever. One-hand opening and locking make it extremely handy. The black "spacers" are steel springs. Replacements are difficult to find these days, not cheap but worth it. Thanks.
