Thanks for sharing Bob. My Grandfather was like my dad and he always carried a pocket knife. He is the one that introduced me to knives when I was just a boy. He would always pull out his pocket knife and act like he was going to cut me but he used the spine of the blade..just joking around. He passed away in 2010 and I have his knives. I will always cherish those times ans thank him for his old school wisdom. JW

The Japanese knife is like an antique Victorinox SwissChamp Mini! Very nice.

An old knife that has passed through the hands of various people is like a piece of personal history of those who have carried and used it. Those individuals' past, and their uses and purposes for the knife, surround the knife with their personal essence like a ghost. When that person(s) is someone close, like a relative, the knife can become a symbolic reminder of the departed and what they stood for and were made of.

Love this video! The first pattern that occurred to me when I saw your mother of pearl knife was the "Eisenhower" knife.

Fantastic video, as always. I've always carried a knife (ignore the singular :-P), and my dad is to blame for that. ;-)

La primera se ve como nueva, tendra 50 años y se ve genial, pero porque es un asco, una buena navaja esta totalmente desgastada a los 50 años, no parece guardada en un cajón?
