I'm curious if you have an integration with UDS that would have the waves react to the weather as well? When it's very stormy, the waves would be much higher for example.

Hey you would probably find what your looking from here, it connects a weather system currently by default set to UDS. To basically any wind system. It can even sync up to oceanology, and lake. Riverology will work in the future. github.com/delebash/UE_GlobalEnvironmentalSystem

I followed this tutorial and it worked wonderfully, i got god rays working on oceanology 5.3 . I have one question, the draw distance now underwater is basically unlimited. Is there a way to have the god rays and reduce how far you can see? I e been trying to figure it out to no success.

Do note in this example I used the battleship that comes with Oceanology as an example and it would be a poor example to match with a speed boat of that size, refer to the fishing boat example for a closer representation of what you should expect for a boat of that size. You can always play around with the settings to get your desired buoyancy.

Would love to know if there’s a tutorial on how you did this! I’m just starting in UE5 and if I can accomplish the same thing, it would actually convince me to get Oceanology. Unfortunately things like this is way over my head at this point 😅

The weather syncing with ocean was accomplished with a github asset that's free to use. But everything's being updated quite a bit right now so the methods changed may make a video when it's more finalized.

When I go to save the materials by 4:05 - I get the errror message "the current material has compilation errors, so it will not render in feature level SM6." please advise.

Sadly this method no longer works as of the current oceanology versions, however with 5.1.6 coming out it will once again work fine. You could merge the 2 mpc into one to fix the error or wait for the newest update of OC.
