Hi Bob. On my other channel, Visual Art Photography Tutorials, I have a macro photography playlist that features many episodes using natural window lighting.

That tripod comes with the arm that bends over the rake like that?
@macroworld41693 жыл бұрын
Yes. The arm is adjustable. Many tripods have this feature.

Very nice. I really like this tuturial and it inspires me to try macroing my instruments. I have a guitar, some violins, trumpets, trombone, flutes and others.

The amount of views this channel manages to have despite the great content is proof of how ridiculously KZbin' algorithm works.

Hi Ray, hope you're keeping well? I did exactly the same thing you've done here, except that I didn't use a lightbox, I just used a spot light. It had pretty much the same effect though. Very enjoyable. I thought the veins in the leaves almost look like veins and capillaries in the human body!

Welcome back. Sedum spectabile is the UK equivalent. A great plant for autumn butterflies, too.

I have a few sedums in my yard. I started with one and discovered accidentally they're really easy to propogate. I accidentally broke off a tiny stalk at the base early in the season, and just stuck it in the ground nearby, and it survived. It'll be larger next year. Last year I cut stems in bloom to use as cut flowers and just left them in the vase after they finished because they looked kinda cool. I decided a few months later to get rid of them and noticed they had little root buds, so I left them until thise spring and stuck them in the ground. Now I have a staggered line of four. As the three new ones catch up to the old I'll have a different character of layout possibilities to photograph. A variety of bees really love them, landing and just camping out on them for a while, making them an additional fun macro subject! I also really like the "shaft of light" idea. Thanks!

Well, I wasn't disappointed at all in the treatment you gave to these beautiful flowers. Actually I had never even heard or seen these flowers before. But, as usual, you have given me inspiration, as you always do, to get out my macro lens and see what I can do with the few remaining flowers in my yard. It will maybe be tomorrow as it is raining heavily today. Thank you, Ray, for stirring my imagination. Joan

Hi Ray, I hope all is well with you ! Great video as always ! Even though I have been subscribed for sometime, I wasn’t get any notifications and than I did a little investigating and found that KZbin had changed the way the settings work. So I had into my settings and make some changes to get it right. So if you’re not getting as many people viewing, this maybe the reason.
