Hi Ray. You have hit another key with your photography video. This has to be one of my favorite Ray Scott videos. My acoustic guitar will get dusted off and see a new light, perhaps becoming a piece of art. Brilliant work, Ray. I will try to imitate your performance.

Hi Ray, this is a great tutorial/idea, unfortunately I don't have a guitar, but I’m going to try to photograph the wrinkles and craters on you know who’s face, they look like the dried rivers of mars. (LOL). Have a great week.

Thanks for the inspirational video. I have a guitar but I never considered to use it for macro photography. I surely will give it a try, including the corresponding sheet music and music stand...

The Canon Life-Size Converter EF is exclusive to the Canon 50mm F2.5 Macro? did you use it on the 100mm?

Ray, great video, do you play guitar ? I started learning a few years ago, and purchased a Taylor acoustic/electric, my problem is I have too many interests ! But those are some great ideas for photography, very interesting. Last night my brother and I went down in Atlanta and saw Rick Walkman in concert, I don’t if you ever heard of him but he was the keyboard player for the band Yes. There are so many objects that can be photographed in ways that have never been seen that way before, you have such great imagination. It’s what keeps us young and alert ! Have a great weekend and week ahead !

I’m just learning the guitar Jules. Gotta love those amazing Taylor guitars. Like you, I’ve got way too many interests so it’s hard to find all the time we need to do the things we love. Oh well 🙃 Yes, very familiar with Rick Wakeman of Yes fame. I’m sure you enjoyed the show. Have a wonderful week!

Yes, Ray it was a great show. We had back stage passes to meet Rick, after the concert which was in a very nice restaurant, his manger told us that he did meet & greet before the concert. Which we knew wasn’t true, the first 4 people were a couple and my brother and I. So in reality who knows what happened, we just moved on and were glad we had a goodnight and were sitting around some very nice people. Rick’s, 1st song on the piano was Pachelbel’s Canon, a song in which I have always loved.

I have 3 guitars 3 concertinas and a dulcimer should be good finding angles for those. I have done photos of them before but not macro. Thanks for the tip.

I love the fact you have a musical home. Good luck with your macro shoot if you decide to give it a try.
