Parasyte was definitely ahead of its time, its unfortunate there will be no continuation but that adaptation of the Korean version is cool, seeing what the rest of the parasyte world is going through in other countries.

I actually don't like how a lot of anime's these days are just trying to be edgy for the sake of being edgy if that makes sense. It feels as though everything needs to be psychological thriller, to feed into the idea of human sadism and malevolence or something. When you think about anime's like One Piece, Naruto, Bleach and Dragon Ball, none of them went full malevolent sadism edgy darkness mode. Bleach is the only one who even came close to that. Think about Dragon Ball, you had guys like Frieza who were very malevolent due to the fact that he was so strong for so long. Cell was like a new born baby experiencing dark emotions for the first time and really enjoyed the chemical rush of power, it all made a lot of sense to me why characters like this are naturally emergent. Buu was only evil due to an IQ issue for the most part and the fact that he later became the manifestation of evil. But most of the show was colourful and focused on obtaining power and training as well as the strugle of competition and ones mortality, there were existential crisis and a need to overcome personal issues with many characters. Feels like though, I can't go more than 1 episode these days without eyeball gouging, decapitations, sadistic torture, revenge seeking malevolence and that nearly every character is infected with it. The characters that have these traits also very often don't have deep philosophies on why they are malevolently sadistic or a twisted view on peace. Mayster Seymour Guado from FFX is a fantastic example of a character that was completely logical and the heroes in the game gaslight him and act like his logic isn't sound when it actually is. When a character finally is created that makes sense (Like Pain from Naruto) they either get treated as though their logic doesn't hold up when it does, or get presented with a false philosophy from the good guy which they could have worked out on their own or actually doesn't answer enough questions to change their mind even though they'll pretend in the show like it did. The whole "Just be a good guy anyway!" and the bad guy goes "Oh yeah! You're right! I FINALLY SEE NOW!" makes absolutely no sense when these individuals are working on such a complex level.

The New Gen was good while it lasted. Black Clover and Boruto TBV are really good just sucks that they’re monthly/quarterly

Daten, the call of the night opening was my first creepy nuts song I heard and I adored it. I replied it so many times and had to listen to the other music in the soundtrack. When I replayed those songs over and over I had to look at their other music and it’s just as good. I’ve only just recently learned how their lyrics are so impactful and have meaningful lessons. One of my favorites is I think drugs and sex and rock and roll and talks about instead of getting pleasure from drugs and sex to get high of music and it’s really goofy and charming. I adore Creepy nuts

One thing you are missing is that Gintama ended in 2019 leaving shonen with out a massive comedy series in their line up.

whats with the editing in this video? calm down with the clips, I can't tell what is relevant and what is just a scene you thought would be interesting here. Many of them don't even last a half a second before you moved on to a new clip. At a certain point it doesn't work to keep attention on your video but is painful to watch. At points its so bad that you might need a seizure warning.

Shonen Jump might seem screwed with *JJK* and *MHA* ending, but it’s not all doom and gloom. They’ve bounced back before-remember when *Naruto* and *Bleach* wrapped? *Demon Slayer* and *MHA* didn’t blow up overnight; it took time and killer anime adaptations. Sure, *Kagurabachi* has hype, but series like *Sakamoto Days* and *Blue Box* could surprise if they build their audience. Jump’s problem isn’t talent; it’s rushing to find the next big thing instead of letting its lineup cook.
